The M50 is great for the money, if you can stretch, it would be better to buy a used Korg M3, because the build quality is much better. I played an MOX8 in a music shop recently and absolutely hated the user interface. I could never live with it. The M50 has a lovely big touchscreen, and is a dream ...

Thanks guys, but I personally was referring to the drum track in combi mode, not sequencer mode. Is it possible to add swing to the drum track in combi mode specifically? I haven't come across any way to do this.

There is the normal black one, then limited edition yellow, dark green, red and blue ones. These are only available in the 61 key version though. I was lucky enough to get the yellow one for a bargain price on eBay.

there is no "variations" or "fills" in m50... i guess you need an arranger instead of a workstation I really wish it did. Frankly, this would have been much, much more useful than those stupid chord trigger buttons. They could have at least enabled you to perform real time arp pattern changes ...

The arp button broke off last week on mine! I use both those buttons all the time when I'm playing, because I play my M50 like an arranger keyboard. :P

they could have put the power supply inside instead of external transformer that makes it look like a toy.

nice pics!
I think McHale did an internal power supply mod on his M50. I forget where I saw the pictures, but it looks like a great idea!

I don't know of a way. Seriously, the chord trigger buttons really annoy me. Chord triggering is a pretty useless function, why can't we assign the buttons to something more useful like arp pattern changes on the fly?

It should automatically save control surface settings for program mode when you overwrite a program. I've adjusted the cutoff and resonance parameters for most of the bass presets that way.

Do you mean in combi mode? I'm interested in if this is possible as well. It saves knob positions in program mode, but it doesn't seem to in combi mode.

how old is your m50? i just wonder when my knobs will get broken :) korg should put the focus more on quality aspects i think. I bought it in April 2010 from eBay, but it was mint condition. I dunno how old it actually is! Tbh, I did choose a korg partly for the reliability. Both my Microkorg and ...

I imagine there's a LOT more unused space in the M50 88!

My new part comes on Monday, so I can't play my beloved M50 until then! :(

My M50 is in pieces! :( (Pics inside)

This morning, my ARP button broke off inside the keyboard, so I've taken it to bits to see if the problem is fixable: 1.The back is taken off, about 20 screws in all. The buttons are buried beneath this lot! http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6222/6328780741_32a0a062ea.jpg 2.The broken part, according ...

The M50 should keep you covered for the most part, although it does lack sampling. If you need sampling, see if you can find a used Yamaha Motif ES or Korg Triton Extreme.

Don't even touch the Juno-G. It's junk.
