Re: thank you WaveDrummer
I didnt realized that tune value was about keys. So if I did understand, the tune option is comparable to a transpose option on a keyboard ... So technically if I go down -12 it'll be in the same key but 1 octave under ? I'm not sure that it works in perfect 1/2 step intervals, or if it's even the ...

Would you explain how you pick the scale? It should be on page 25 of the owner's manual. About the preset scales Some of the algorithms in the WAVEDRUM allow you to play phrases in a particular scale. You can choose one of the following eight types of scale. For some algorithms, not all scales are ...

Re: How to set the root key of a scale ?
I looked into the manual but I didn't found any hint how to change the root note of a scale. Simple: Use the Tune [tun] parameter in Edit 1 mode. If you have algo 13 assigned to the head, select the [tun] parameter in Edit 1 mode. Then select button #1 to adjust the tuning for the head algorithm ...

There a few new kick/snare programs in the Global Edition. #189 Dub Step Kit #190 Angry Man (K+S Dub) #191 World Party (K+S Moombahton) #192 Piggy (DubsStep K/S/Hats) I'll check these this evening and see if any of them sound like that portion of the video. PS I've no idea what "Moombahton" even ...

I think you are confusing some of the parameters in Edit 2 Mode. What are the other settings you are using? The most important one to pay attention to (in order to achieve what I think you are looking for) is parameter # 8, Sequence Type. "This parameter allows you to specify how changes in striking ...

Re: New to Wavedrum
Seems like a lot of this is about experimenting. Just curious if those of you who have been at this for a while start to get a "feel" for the algorithms after a while. For example, when you are looking to create a specific sound do you think, "Yeah, algorithm 11 is a good place to start." Or is it ...

Re: Thanks WD !
The thing I did not realize was the short collar . Now hand playing is a little more difficult. [Edit] (OK, for anyone reading along, I totally screwed up my first response here. For some reason I had the vision of the original collar reversed in my mind.) Yeah, the original collar is deeper than ...

This turned out to be pretty interesting, and I think I've come up with something useful. I am going to have to assume that anyone attempting this sound is already familiar with how to edit on the Wavedrum. If not, explore the appropriate threads for that info. Simply copying the parameters below is ...

I've been exploring this a bit lately. I'll post some results of my experiments in a day of two. Unfortunately, I am yet again faced with a recurring problem when creating melodic or semi-melodic sounds on the Wavedrum. As I've mentioned previously in other threads, the algorithms and the PCM sounds ...
