Hi brettb12 - Unfortunately I'm the only person who posted in this thread (besides you) and have very limited knowledge on the subject. I would certainly start with the part from mouser and replace it. If that works then you have nothing else to worry about. This appears to be the delay board, if ...

Anyway you could post an example of what this is? It sounds cool - I should try it, but I also kinda want to just hear what you've done with it!

Success! Replacing the volume potentiometer fixed the issue, now both the L and R channels produce sound and the headphones work as expected. Also, the DD1 can be heard. It is interesting that DD1 goes only through the left output, but I think that helps produce more interesting delay (since DD2 can ...

Hey EJ2 - bummer about the Korg, was there anything you did out of the ordinary that caused it to do this? Might be nice to know so others can avoid bricking their Radias.

Cheers

For more documentation - If you go to page 13 in the service manual, you will see that the sound feeds into both the digital delay 1 (DD1) and digital delay 2 (DD2). DD1 then goes to output L and DD2 goes to output R. From there, the sound is then fed to the headphones amp. So if I hear something ...

Another additional note. If you have the Korg DSS-1 and need to replace the volume slider (or whatever its called: volume potentiometer), Tom said that this is the product number:
ALPS part, Mouser’s number is 688-RS30112AC00J

I wrote to Tom Virostek, who, if you don't know him he's runs Straylight Engineering and has made boards in the past to upgrade the DSS-1, said: A common fault is that the front panel volume slider goes bad. Both the headphones and left output are fed from this volume slider. You could try using ...

[Solved] Korg DSS-1 No sound left output and headphone jack

Hello everyone, Last night I acquired a Korg DSS-1. When testing out the sound via the headphones, I noticed that there was no sound coming from the left headphone speaker. I then plugged the headphones into the right output and I could hear it just fine. Then I plugged the headphones into the left ...

I had the same issue, no one responded to me. Guessing people just don't try to use this feature or something...

What about the Accelerator?

Perhaps you can check also Radical Technologies Spectralis - not cheep either and not the easiest to use, but sounds nice. In my opinion Access Virus TI and Waldorf Blofeld are also comparable multitimbral VA synths, both have advanced modulation matrices, but both don't have integrated sequencing ...

Has no one ever tried hooking up a korg electribe to the Radias and used them this way? That would surprise me, considering there's a lovely spot on the keyboard for an electribe... They seem well made for each other, but if one can't activate the Radias' sequencer using an electribe, it's not a ...

Correction:

Only START/PLAY on the ESX doesn't seem to transmit (or the Radias doesn't listen). I can't figure out which. Otherwise, the other functions work (return to beginning, stop...)

Start/stop Radias sequencer using Korg ESX... How to?

As the title suggests, I'm having difficulty figuring out how to start or stop the radias sequencer using the Korg ESX. I assumed that because they're both made by korg, they'd be able to talk to each other (the EMX and ESX talk perfectly to each other). I want to push 'start' on my ESX and have the ...

You could use a mod sequencer to simulate an envelope I suppose, and have it loop at the end of the sequencer (up to 32 steps I think).
