Thanks, dude. I needed slightly more for my powering-up needs, so I bought a Visual Sound OneSpot. The Korg is always hooked up to my amp's tuner out jack; that is one awesome tuner! The visibility and accuracy are just great.

Ronok, I think you're onto something. UltimateDj, you could learn something from this guy.

Thanks for correcting my use of language. I guess a guy who has taught grammar and essay writing for a few years should regularly be proofread by a spam program.

Regardless of the format used, the skill of the DJ comes down to his/her ability to use sounds to interact with the crowd. I use CDs and occasionally plug in my iPod and my KP3, but it's my attachment to techno, trance, thrash, and grunge which keeps me from getting gigs. :/

Pitch Black!

I haven't been here in a while. Last night I just bought myself a little Korg Pitchblack tuner. I was wondering if anyone has an idea how many compact effect pedals (e.g., Boss) this thing can power-up.

Those Shures look like they're right up my alley. I'll have to give them a listen some time. Having replaceable parts is a huge plus; my Pioneers don't have that feature, but they haven't malfunctioned at all in the 7 years I've been using them.

I like to start a jam by fading in a single note from silence. Alternately, I like a slow descending arpreggio.

For a variety of applications, I favor DJ/studio headphones. Sennheiser and Sony are my favorites (especially the Sennheiser HD280), but right now I'm sticking with my Pioneer HDJ1000. The cups are comfortable, they are powerful, and they isolate fairly well - all features which make them great for ...

I think this song actually uses the tuning EADADE, in which case, you can just raise the pitch of the 2nd and 3rd strings. You may want to replace the 2nd string with a skinnier one in order to raise it 1 1/2 steps. The Korg GA-30 should read these notes, but will identify them as different strings ...

AX1B

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows what the cab sims in the ToneWorks AX1B represent. They are just numbered without descriptions.

Oh ok, I've been to a couple different guitar forums in the past.

I went through the ver2.0 manual PDF and I got exactly what I need. I'm used to the stutter effect on my old Pioneer CDJs, so I need to have complete control of when a loop starts.

Thanks.

single deck? I was thinking of doing something like that with the KP3 - like using the sample/loop functions to blend tracks on a single cd deck. Looks like you have a pretty awesome setup.

Awesome, thanks. I just have to read and press some buttons.

Do you visit any other on line forums? I've seen the name "Pastor Of Muppets" before.
