I have an early Kronos from 2011. I have never turned the power switch off. Always power on through a Furman like Jeebustrain. Have had no issues.

Could be the fan buzzing. If you have OS 3.0.2 change the fan speed and see if it changes pitch.

This is the first "official" info from a Korg source about the Intel D510MB motherboard in the KRONOS, that there's no customized BIOS or anything else...
If this is true, what was the recent firmware update all about?

I noticed that I no longer have to remove the USB drive when booting. I don't know if this is new with this release or not, as I have been removing it to prevent the dreaded system startup failure, remove usb devices.... message. When replacing my setlists from USB after the update, I was distracted ...

I have a USB mouse in Xp SP2 that fails to initilize sometimes. Have to re-boot with it plugged in. Also, does a thumb drive work? That will test the core system.

in program mode for the sgx piano, touch the exi tab at the bottom of the screen. A setup menu appears on the right. select third one down, stereo perspective. the two options are player and audience. I hope this is what you want.

My K88 is going on a year old. It only has 6 digits in the S/N. 0013xx.

It had the keybed replaced and ram upgreded and has been fine ever since.

I was taught the soft pedal was the "una-corda" pedal, or the pedal that only allows one of the three strings to be struck.

To power back up where you were when you powered down, Go to the global basic tab, and under system preferences->power on mode, select memorize. Then on the upper right drop down, select write global settings. I can't help with the rest, but soon I will be in this territory, so thanks for starting ...

I think they must have the 88 case. For whatever reason, the 88 case (GKPE-88-TSA) is taller. The inside dimensions for the 88 are: 6.63” H x 59” W x 19” D. I have one of these for the 88, but haven't put the Kronos in it yet (the Yamaha is in it right now).
