The key is Combination mode. In Combination you can specify up to 16 programs as Timbres and each timbre can have its own dedicated midi channel and some other attributes defined in Combination mode that once I've figured it all out are going to be awesome. I'm trying to plug it into a sapphire 6 either mono or stereo? Any advice gratefully received.

Weirdly I plugged my ipad into my Sapphire Audio Interface and played out IMS-20 as an external instrument track in live and can successfully record that to a seperate audio channel...so everything is fine BUT the kick (drum one) and various other drum tracks are very feint.....not totally muted and ...
