Customer service!!! 👍 I contacted Roland via the Cloud App about having paid a total of £337.97 for both the previous n/zyme and latest EX upgrades, and they have kindly refunded £121.56. So the EX upgrade has only cost me £80, which I'm very happy with and only took two days to sort out. So, if you ...

Well, I can confirm that the Jupiter 8 ACB plug-in is 8 voices, although I've not tested it against Zen Core, SN-A, VPiano etc to see if the voice count changes - I suspect it won't as I believe it occupies it's own DSP. I've listened to the ACB JP-8 against the Zen Model JP-8, and honestly, I ...

I've noticed that the black keys are slightly wider than the norm... so I suspect it's the same AT keybed as the Hydrasynth Keyboard/Deluxe.

The same keybed is also used on the Summit but only with Channel AT. Really nice to play.

I'm not sure what ACB will bring to the Fantom apart from adding expensive plug-ins to replace the ABM one's I've already got. I'm happy with how ABM sounds and I don't particularly want to sacrifice polyphony (probably limited to 8 voices) just for realism... it'll cripple the Fantom as a ...

I’d love it if KORG took a swing at doing something like an OpenLabs Neko. The Neko was way ahead of it’s time, but the time maybe right now for such a product. Heck, I'd build my own if there was an ATX Keyboard Case option available, same as I do for building custom PC's. Regards Sharp. I built so ...

I find the combination of Kronos and iPad very useful and fun.
But perhaps most Kronos owners prefer PC or Mac.
Midi Designer Pro 2 now runs natively on any M1/M2 Mac. It's still a small target audience, but growing.

You could wait and wait and wait for Korg to bring out a new top line workstation, but from what I gather, Nautillus is going to be their flagship for the time being. A new Workstation would probably involve another steep learning curve which, at my age, I don't have time for  I'd be happy ...

You don't need the Korg driver for the latest MacOS, just plug in the USB cable and you're good to go. Mine's running fine on M1 Mac Mini, Monterey 12.4

Re: What is this? A modified Kronos?

I found this picture, is a modified Kronos or a new version? https://i.postimg.cc/5ykSryyp/Christmas-Mode.jpg It's a chap who modified the LED buttons and screen himself. The original post is here: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=794698&sid=1974d82b3ff6a189f107c16a80d2d746

I know exactly what you mean, unfortunately it seems many analogue modeling synths do the same thing in mono mode - it's infuriating. I'm afraid it's just the way the AL-1 envelopes work. I have two synths that *do* behave correctly in mono mode, that's the Summit and Hydrasynth. The Fantom, like ...

OK, I'm going to reply... I've tried in the past to recreate a Rick 12 String, but the simple problem is that the sound is very complex. You need to take into consideration the string order - Ricks have the heavy strings first (most, if not all of the others have the light strings first). Then you ...

Makes you wonder why they don’t make a Workstation that feels like a Kronos but actually controlls VST’s running on a PC.. I would really like to see an updated and reliable Open Labs NEKO type system - The idea was great, but just missed the mark. https://dt7v1i9vyp3mf.cloudfront.net/styles/header/ ...

Not sure where you got that info from, but there's no HDMI output on the 0 series, so no connection to a larger screen.

I'll wait until it's bundled in with Korg Collection 4 - Probably won't be too long.
