LOL, the M50 was never intended to compete with MOx as it came out much earlier than the MOx Well yeah, that's why the M50 couldn't compete with the MOX ;) I think the Krome stands a good chance due solely to the better piano engine and EPs. I just hope they haven't compromised the 88-key hammer ...

There is a category that caters for every product KORG makes. Some are dedicated, some are not because there is no need as there is no demand for it. Which category does the monotron and monotribe belong to? I'm asking an honest question here since I've seen threads relating to these products ALL ...

Wow, that is a lot lower than I thought. Maybe it'll be able to compete with the MOX where the M50 couldn't.

A decision which has been made, and I bet not one person would disagree with me either. Creating a dedicated section for the KROME was the right thing to do as it will be used exactly as expected. I personally think that EVERY product with its own product page on the KORG website should be mirrored ...

New sections are opened based on demand, or expectation of support that will be needed. It is my expectation that the KORG KROME is going to be extremely popular because it's absolutely jam packed with sounds and features for an amazing price. I did cover your second stipulation in my post. I wrote ...

Hi Kevin. New sections are opened based on demand, or expectation of support that will be needed. I agree with Sharp that Krome needs its own forum, but I also aqree with Kevin that the Monotron/tribe products need one too. Sharp, you state that new sections are opened based on demand--ie people ...

KROME-88 = 33.51 lbs. / 15.2 kg Interesting to see that KORG is able to match the MOX8 weight. I wonder if they also had to use a lighter hammer action in order to achieve it. Just read that the case is aluminum! That's pretty impressive given that the MOX is all plastic. Also it does seem that it ...

Are you able to enter global mode?

"While holding down the ACTIVE STEP button and the GATE TIME
button, turn the power on. The monotribe will enter Global Menu
mode."

Wow, I called the 88-key at 1899USD last night. I'm amazing.

Definitely a response to Yamaha's MOX. I would guess the 88-key to sell at 1899USD or so.

4) True 16-step sequencer. Sequencer can record knob motion. I'm not sure I understand how it would be possible for the sequencer to record knob motion... Isn't the whole point of the Mono series that the knobs are actual fixed analog components? I know that the LFO is (maybe?) partially controlled ...

I like the maxitribe photochop, but it's too similar to the Minibrute. If I had to guess at a Monotribe upgrade, I'd say: 1) Ribbon controller still (no keyboard), but with MIDI this time. 2) Addition of sub osc (or 2nd osc) and ADSR control. 3) Same drum kit parts but can be modulated by filter (or ...

How about try to push and hold power button in, while inserting battery or power cord to turn on. Once it's on, release power button. That may reset the switch.
