You can adjust the volume and then simply overwrite the Program or Combi and the next time you choose it, you will get the lower volume

Re: Who is still using their Oasys in UK (and anywhere else

I still use mine. I'm in Canada. It is an amazing workstation. Jim, Way back in the mists of time you posted on the Karma Labs forum trying to persuade Stephen Kay to write a guide on Combi creation.... you obviously figured it out as the Combis you have produced are fantastic.... So did anyone ...

Re: Who is still using their Oasys in UK (and anywhere else

I bought my Oasys brand new when it was first released about 15 years ago.... I keep coming back to it and learning something new..... it’s got to be the most powerful synth/workstation ever made, I reckon.... I still use mine. I'm in Canada. It is an amazing workstation. Tip for changing from Progs to Combis using Sysex

I sometimes use an old school Evolution Midi Controller keyboard connected to my Oasys when I am at my Studio Desk as I can’t reach the Oasys from there. Changing Banks and Programs is easy enough , by sending CC# messages, but when I want to change from Progs to Combis (and vice versa) I have to s ...

I have owned an Oasys 76 since new and I also had this problem a few years ago. The sliders come off by just pulling them..... I guess yours may be a bit stuck if they’ve been there for a long time. I am sure you won’t damage anything... I seem to remember that they are 4mm ( check this when you get ...

There are 2 things you can try.

Use a much smaller capacity USB stick (remember, when the Oasys first came out a 1GB stick was a luxury)

Plug a powered USB hub into the Oasys and then plug your 16GB into that.

I hope one of those ideas works for you.

I can't add a lot about the Kronos in this thread, because I haven't played one - but what I can say is it's great to see Mike Conway still contributing good stuff to the forum. I bought his excellent video many years ago, and I still watch it from time to time when I have forgotten how to do ...

My faders are just starting to go sticky now after 10 years. My Oasys is covered up all the time when it's not being used, so it's not UV light - I think the rubber just goes manky after a while. Anyway, there are many different alternatives available on eBay, so I will be buying some soon.

It doesn't sound too difficult to replace the touch screen. I have read in another thread the method - I am sure if you do a search you will come across the right thread. it's almost a good idea to just buy a new Fujitsu 0554-T347 touch-screen to have as a spare in case of a problem. There is a ...

I might as well resurrect this thread as there is not a lot of action on the forum these days. I still have my Oasys 76 that I bought when they first came out. I don't play it all that much but I wouldn't sell it. Maybe the same thing could happen with the Oasys that happened with the Minimoog D ...
