Well, I have a problem I overlooked my computer motherboard continuously seems to emit a quiet white noise, its -37 db however, so its very faint, but I'm wondering if any of you know any plugin for audacity or a program for recording that would make this motherboard noise not pick up at all or ...

oddly enough, I almost thought the thing didn't work at first, but I tried plugging it into my audio interface and not recording straightfrom the headphone jack and the noise was 100% gone after i used a 3-2 prong adapter

why does it only pick up on the moog and not on the r3 or the microkorg

if they are all in the same outlet why should it do this

how do i fix this

another thing to note is it may not actually be a ground loop because the noise is very high pitched, and is available in that link I posted earlier

But I think it is a ground loop because it only occurs when I plug the moog into the outlet

why is it so difficult to get it to not emit that ground loop I got different ground loop tones from every outlet I tried the one with the least noisy ground loop was the transformer that has a ton of stuff connected to it, and when I plugged it into outlets with nothign in them I got a really low ...

What i didn't mention is that I fixed the problem by pluggin it into a different outlet with all the other stuff now the moog sub phatty still has the issue however, the r3 does not. ok well here is what I've discovered when the synth is unplugged from the power cord and is not plugged in via 1/4 cable into the audio interface, the noise reverts to being pure white noise, which is easily filterable. and that the 1/4 inch cable emits a very light hum if plugged into the unit and ...

it sounds sorta like a ground, but I have no midi connected and when I didn't use the interface at all and just recorded through line in, the same tone occurred.

I just put my synth straight into my audio interface and I get noise in the background I always have to filter out the noise I have my interface's recording volume really low and my synth volume maxed out so that it records at a good volume and has less noise but, I still continually get the noise ...
