not got a XL, but have an ORIGINAL MK,

I will have a gandar and if I can get a anything to sound similar I will send you the patch co-ordinates
and perhaps you may be able to apply them to your XL

Oh, right! of course!! in which case YES the MK works fine with Cubase?

Could it be a case of not setting the EXTERNAL BEFORE loading the soundedito? OR do I need to chane the MIDI CHANNEL on the MK?

To clarify what I tried to ask earlier - you need both out>in and in>out connections, the editor needs two-way connection. Try swapping the leads and see if that causes any difference in operation.
