Korg DSS1 Low output
I dusted it off the old DSS and started using it again. But the volume level is nothing like it used to be. There used to be so much beastly gain with the output switch set to 'hi' that I only had to set my mixer fader up to about 30%. Now,,, I have to push the fader all the way up and the level is ...

After discussing this with several Korg certified keyboard techs and not able to get any answers from them. And also after asking korg tech support themselves who also were unable to answer my question I found a solution. Motherboard replacement. But motherboards are near impossible to find and are ...

Sysex & Program Managment
As I demo through 1,000's of programs for the Triton Extreme I would like to save the ones that are appealing to me. This allows me to build banks and library's based on sounds that I am most likely to use in production. The most simple and free way I have found to do this is to dump the single ...

I have tried that and still have the same results. I notice now that there are more sounds effected by this noise issue. Certain drum sounds like snares and timpani, just about any sound that has a short attack and long decay will produce this digital white noise. It makes me wonder if the samples ...

Triton Extreme White Noise On Piano Type Sounds
I recently purchased a used Triton Extreme. The keyboard works great except for most of the piano and piano related type sounds such as xylophone, marimba, rhodes et cetra generate a horrible white noise. Many of the other sounds within the ROM sounds just fine. It is only these certain ones that ...

FDD Emu & USB Flash Drives
Hey Korg users!! I am attempting to use a floppy drive emulator on my X3. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5-144MB-Floppy-Disk-Drive-to-USB-Emulator-Simulation-For-Musical-Keyboard-USA-/282131589382?hash=item41b05a6906:g:rjIAAOSwawpXrDpK I have scoured the internet for days looking for a 2GB low profile ...

Convert SNG to MIDI?
My X3 was stolen years ago but I still have the disks with .SNG's on them. I would like to be able to convert them to midi so I can edit them in a DAW. I have tried using sng2midi but it does not work. I have tried several of the editors and librarians for the X3 but none support SNG files. Other ...

X50 Librarian
Is there such an animal? I would like to be able to build custom program and combi banks in a windows environment where patches can be copied/pasted into custom banks and then loaded onto the X50.

X50 Samples
One of the reasons for purchasing the X50 was the ability to transfer sounds from the Triton Extreme and Karma keyboards. But the majority of sounds are hoarked when I do this. Is there a way to load the samples from a Triton or karma into the x50 so that the sounds are identical to their brother ...

X50 Editor and Cubase 5.1
I can find zero info on how to setup multiple tracks for this. I have read the manual but there is no info on how to set up multiple tracks. I need to know which way to set it up. Do I build 16 midi tracks and set all of their outputs to the editor or the keyboard? (Sometimes the X50 Keyboard is NOT ...

Thanks for replying, I picked up the M-Audio 88es earlier today. It would work even though it has semi-weighted keys. However the keys are set deep, like a piano. They also feel squishy on aftertouch. The velocity sensors are very touchy and hit or miss as well. It is not really what I was hoping ...

Hello all
I am a long time Korg fan. Instruments I have owned are the DSS-1, X3 and Triton Extreme. I just love em. I am currently building a digital home studio. I am looking for a certain keyboard controller. In fact it was the sole reason for me to register on these forums. The more I look the more ...
