im afraid I'm going to disagree here (don't shoot me!!) but I've worked on my kronos vocoder for quite a while now and have kinda got it to where its versatile. My best advice is to muck around with compression on the vocal input, and boost the highs on the effect to add a little more clarity to the ...

So im guessing that even though the M1 is now a 20+ year old synth, the fact that korg have released the M1 legacy would create further complications in sampling the keyboard? also sharp, if i were to upload a PCG file with the PARAMETERS all mapped out, using only the factory rom in the kronos, not ...

Best sample to use for realistic vocoder

hey everyone not sure if this is the right place to be asking this, but i'd like to use the vocoder effect on my keyboard to create some more "authentic" vocal harmony sounds in my band. so using a sawtooth wave isn't necessarily going to give me that. I was wondering if you guys could recommend a ...

id just like to add my 2c in quickly i had an opportunity the other day to play my krome with the M1 soundest loaded in directly next to a T3 with the M1 patches loaded into bank A. whilst the sounds are INCREDIBLY similar, and you wouldn't notice much of a difference live, through beautiful studio ...

if you want to get fancy, you can set up a combo sound with everything you need. Ie, set up your first sound (lets say its piano) once you've got it sounding the way you like, go to the IFX page and route the piano through a compressor, and set the gain to -99 (or as far as it will go) then go down ...

ironically, the reason its transposed is because the singer in my band couldn't do it in c#m, so i recorded it in bm to make it easier :-P go figure

but it does add a nice depth to her voice, and takes it that little bit more away from sounding like beyonce. thank you for the kind words :-)

hahaha, ye the vocal track was a bit tricky. Luckily this one was floating around on youtube somewhere, so i just ripped it from that. Then from memory, i did i the hard way. i loaded it into logic, turned the click track on, and lined up the vocal track with the first beat of the click. then i just ...

Single Ladies Remix

Hey everyone, After owning my Kronos just over a year, i decided to post some sound bytes of what i've managed to get out of this keyboard. This is a remix i made up of single ladies by beyonce. It uses the kronos drums, a combination of AL1 and HD1 for the bass sound, some sampled strings from my ...

from memory, the m1 organ is a sampled bx3 organ sound with the percussion way up. (forgive me, i can't remember what drawbar settings) but one of the problems would be the percussion. on the M1, (and the sample used to make the program you're talking about) the percussion is sampled on every note ...

ironically i just looked at the universe patch on my m1 plugin, and noticed two completely different egs :P guess i should check before opening my mouth luckily in this particular case, the e.g. finishes its modulation well and truly before the choir sound fades in, so it ends up having no audible ...

as far as i can tell so far, the only time the pitch e.g. is set separately for each osc, its the exact reverse of the first one, which is replicable using the +/- function on the pitch e.g. intensity. for the most part this is all i see, i am yet to come across any programs with two radically ...

i can not speak on behalf of keyboardists who can play like guitarists, but i can speak as a guitarist myself :-P one thing is that a guitar being tuned basically all in 4ths means that notes overlap very frequently, and that makes for some very simple conventional guar pentatonic licks, that might ...
