I got it figured out with the help of djfluorescent - my drivers that came with the kp3 weren't working.

As for the OS , I guess mine needs updating because I can't do what you described there, so thanks a lot

Hey Thanks so much ! I got help from djfluorescent. I ended up having to dwld drivers as well bc the drivers I got with the product did not work. Same with my drivers I got with fast track pro m-audio. Had to dwld from the net.
