I've only ever used an expression pedal in pedal 2. This was to control volume... or wah when turned on.

Pedal 1 I believe can use a footswitch to control the slow/fast on the rotary effect.

I haven't had any issues either, but I like myself am running the original Red SV-1, so maybe there is something different there?

Say Javaj, I'm In Calgary as well, with a red SV1. My friend also has one. Let's start an SV1 band?

Re: Loving my SV-1 over Komplete

Finally got my home studio setup enough to do some playing around with my Komplete. Loaded up Alicia's Keys- which I used to love- and just kept going back to the SV-1. Really loving the control I can get with the onboard controls and effects. Even the Scarbee stuff just sounded flat compared to ...

Re: Greater appreciation for half peddling on the SV-1

If you have never done this- choose a piano/epiano/clav, turn off the reverb. play some staccato notes, and slowly press the sustain and listen for the halfpedaling effect. Coming from a synth background, I am not used the half peddling (or have the skill). I spent a half hour focusing on teaching ...

The player hears those clicks and clacks when you sit behind a real electric piano, but they don't come through the amp in real life. I think the RX stuff is cool, but it's more of a fun illusion for the player. Really? Both the beat up whirly and the Pianet I own make clickity clack thump ...

All things considered, I have used several different sets of keys lately and I am always finding myself the most "at home" with the SV-1. I recently picked up a Juno Di, and, while I like it's collection of sounds, editor features and split capability etc., These are features I never find 'lacking ...

MEH. To be honest, the Krome looks like "Just another workstation" While your reasons for citing why the Krome may be better sounding than the SV1, it certaintly doesn't have the soul of the SV1. You must not see the appeal of a no-brainer easy to use interface that is made solely for stage ...

Maybe this is an oversimplified question,

But are you connected via USB? Or just strictly MIDI?

Ground loop? Either use some kind of transformer coupling (passive DI box) between the SV-1 and the amp, or (rather more simply) just ensure that the keyboard and amp are plugged into the same mains supply so that they are at the same ground. I second the use of a DI box. They are cheap and ...

Re: So I took my SV-1 for sale listing down and KEEPING IT!

I had a few offers but around here, not much of a market for one. I don't want to ship and I hate to make such a loss. I'm glad to say I didn't pay full retail for it thanks to a 20% off coupon with Musicians Friend but still, I was getting haggled down from my last price of $1250! The highest ...

I think that you may be able to adjust the "RX Layer" level to adjust the LH bass. I don't really ever use them so I can't confirm.

Are you playing with the Amp Sim on or off?

I have noticed with some settings that even at "0" there is still audible output when the amp sim is turned on.

I went the route of amps instead of a PA. In some respects, I wish I had gone for a PA instead -- Stereo would be easier to control, and it just seems to be a cleaner set up. I have the SV1 and a CP80 that I both use simultaneously. I wound up going a bit different (and although I can record or send ...

I have a CP80 and a Midi interface into a Windows machine running an armada of VSTs but, have also been looking for a...portable... auxillary options. I've looked a bit into running an iPhone and Akai Synthstation 25. This is actually quite convenient and nice, but stability is not good enough for ...

Hey Bodom, grats on the SV1. A lot of the PreFX / Amp sims / etc., have different settings assigned to the knob. (So while Speed/Intensity work for Vibrato, that labeling doesn't work for the Wah) I suggest checking out the editor. You'll see which parameters are tied to the knobs on your SV1, and ...
