Looks pretty cool but I'll still be keeping my E2S (and maybe just purchase the Digitakt as well!). I love having the VA + sampler. The only thing that'll make me get rid of it is if another better device with these two things comes along.

Using the E2 as a polysynth

I'm quite fond of the E2 synth engine and am trying to figure out how to use it as a poly synth (as opposed to paraphonic). Does anyone know of a program that would spit out each new note as a different midi channel in a "round robin" fashion? For example. I play a C chord. C would go to channel 1 ...

Glad there's still Electribe 2 love here. I've also had mine since the initial release date, but haven't invested good quality time with the beauty since the Eurorack and iOS apps have been swallowing me hole. It's always been a fun and simple device to me, and like others - it's limitations are ...

I use it every day. Most frustrating and useful piece gear I've ever owned. I get a lot done with it. I like how I'm able to both compose songs and "sculpt" them.

Yeah it sucks and there's no excuse for it. The new Electribes were close to being truly great machines, imo. I still keep mine and use them a ton, despite all this BS. Not a lot of alternatives out there. The E2S is especially unique cause it has the VA engine plus sampling. There's the Circuit ...

Even though I used the term upgrade, I think I'd keep my Electribe alongside the DSI. I imagine they'd go well together. So looks like the Tempest requires more work to learn, but once you got it it's less menu diving than the Electribe. Which sounds good to me!

Any Electribe owners own a DSI Tempest?

Despite the limitations and troubles, I've gotten on well with the new Electribe after a period of adjustment and learning. I am kind of wanting a similar experience but "upgrade" so am look at a DSI Tempest. I'm curious if any Electribe owners here have one and can compare the two. When I watch ...

I can't explain why it's low. But I can tell you that a cheap Behringer CS400 compressor pedal will take care of that no problem.

Set up a kick pattern. Try all 4 mono and poly modes. Any of them have less click? Poly1 has the least click. But my trouble is that the clicks come back. For example, I made a clean click free pattern, but then after a playing with the machine for a while that same pattern starts clicking. I turn ...

Thanks for replying, WestLondoner. I did some further examination and found the clicking doesn't happen every time. For example, after playing with a few patterns it started clicking. I then went to one pattern and hit record and let it play for a bit. Then I turned the machine off and then on and ...

I haven't hit the weights since I bought my MS-20 mini actually. There's no need. In fact, it's been proven that regular exposure to filter sweeps of 6db/oct hi-pass and 12db/oct low-pass in series like MS-20 stimulate fast twitch muscle fibers and produce more muscle gains than dumbbell work outs ...

E2 more "clicky" than the E2S?

I just bought one of the new blue Electribes and am noticing that it has more clicking going on than the new Electribe Sampler I have. They both have the clicking going on that's been discussed around the web, but I'm finding it moreso on than new blue one. For example, I'm getting clicking on kick ...

I just picked up a blue E2 to go with my E2S (which I've had for a year). My opinion on these boxes is that the sum is greater than the parts. By that I mean if you look at any one thing, like say just the VA engine. It's just OK, and some of the filter models suck, imo (the acid filter can sound ...

I think Yann_ is being way to hard on the Electribe. Only good for making TV jingles? You must be joking. Youtube some of the people doing ambient music on the new Electribe and you'll see some great stuff. But he's largely right actually. I couldn't recommend it to anyone, but it's become my main ...

The E2 has additional VA waveforms so you can get some interesting things going on with the edit knob under the Oscillator, just like in the VA section of the E2S )which you've probably noticed has a big impact on the timbre of the sound). So basically more tweakable VA waveforms and more filters ...
