Nord Stage 2 arrived.

Ba-bye Korg. Good riddance.

The Nord rocks. Not as many bells and whistles, but it's built rock solid, sounds fantastic, and just works. Everything is easily tweakable, right there at your fingertips.

Check it out if you punt Korg.

The problem was admitted/acknowledged by Dell I was on the phone with a tech yesterday. [paraphrase] "We did have a small few of the original Kronos have keybed issues [], but the X doesn't have the problem. This is the first we've heard of the crashing problem". The guy was very nice, but ...

I have to say that when I saw the thread about 4 Kronos on stage at the super bowl, the first thought that entered my mind was they probably only needed two but knowing the Kronos history, didn't dare risk only having two on stage.

Funny. And sad.

Well, it crashed right in the middle of church service. Totally locked up. Song and a half, that are heavy keyboard, sans keyboard.

Beyond ridiculous. Run, don't walk, from this product.

3rd unit, and total of 4 other trips to shop to recap...

Korg should be embarrassed.

Well, the Mrs. has played it for a couple of hours since receiving it, and all is great so far.

No clunky/stuck/loud keys.

Thumbs up so far. Let's see if it lasts...

(Sigh)

Have you pressed for full refund yet? Because that's where I'm going if this one's screwed up.

Seems like legal action would be warranted with this fiasco...there's no excuse for a major label to produce a known defective product, and continue to do so. :?

What timeframe was the last bad one, David?

[in other words, I wonder if they may have it "right" now]

Talked to a new Korg manager today. Very nice on the phone.....no excuses, no BS. Said "ship it to us and I'll have my techs here look at it. If we can't be 100% we can make it right, we'll send you a brand new one. And we'll have them look it over before shipping." Now that's what I'm talking about ...

What a piece of junk. Purchased a year ago, it's been exchanged and/or in the shop 4 times. It's still screwed up. We bought the first one and exchanged it because of a keybed issue. 2nd unit had same problem, but worse. [Korg claims 1% had issues, yet we miraculously got two of that 1%] At this ...

7 months since the dealer got our $3800. 7 months . 2 defective keybeds [return was a dud too] Now it's sitting in repair serviceman's shop waiting ANOTHER 4-6 more weeks. Korg gets whatever is 5 steps below an F on this one. Major suckage. I'm going to demand a refund and look at a different ...

On my wife's 88, when we first got the replacement, she would kind of pause when playing, and repeat the notes. I said "is this one doing it too?" She said "I think so". After 10-15 mins of play it would become very evident. Why is it a progressive issue? The more that it 'warms up' the worse it ...

BIG NEWS! . According to the distributor, there are completely new keybeds on their way from Sweden, and my keybed will be echanged in 1-2 weeks. I talked to Max at Korg, and he said a solution should be coming in the next 2-3 weeks....so maybe this is it. He also said "we've had very few issues ...
