Why would anyone need the opsix? You've already got one - it's called MOD7.
They are much the same except that MOD7 is more powerful

My K61 also has wider spacing between C# and D# as does my old PSR740, but not my grand piano. Interesting.

My K61 is also ten years old and still going strong. Only mods are a bigger SSD and more memory. Also had to change the battery twice. Mind you, my PSR740 is twenty years old and still going strong.

This mod only applies if you have a reverse damper pedal. The normal damper input works OK with a pedal of 10k or more but in reverse mode it only works if the pedal is around 1k. My Kawai pedal is 15k so it needs the 1k resistance in parallel to make half damping work. Actually , what I use is a ...

If this is a reverse half damper, you need a modification The Kronos damper input is asymetrical and requires a pedal with a low resistance. Set the Kronos to "+" and put a 1000 ohm resistance in parallel with the damper pedal. I had to do the same with my Kawai pedal and it works beautifully.

Don't forget that there are two main boards in the Kronos. The other board (than the Intel) also contains a number of processors.

Couple of notes. The program will run on anything up to XP. Beyond XP you can use DosBox (a free download - Google it). It runs quite happily on my 64bit Windows 8 laptop. Also I had to change the extension on the executable file to .edt to avoid malware problems when sent as email. If you request a ...

As Bertotti remembers, many moons ago I was able to program the BCR2000 quite effectively. I wrote some quick and dirty DOS editors as proof of concept with every intention of writing a proper Windows program. However, fate intervened and I was unable to do this and now I never will. I still have ...

Thanks for the info. I've noticed something similar with wave sequences. You play the sequence and it sounds OK but when you look at the structure you find that the sequence is actually longer and they've just cut the length rather than shorten the sequence. For instance I-022 "Conversations B"

I have a Logitech K400 keyboard which came with its own Bluetooth adapter, so I suppose that it's automatically paired. Anyway, I just plug the adapter into the Kronos and it works like a charm. Only problem is that Korg haven't created a proper scancode table for the Kronos so 12 of the keys don't ...

I think one of the biggest mistakes is to try to use everything on the Kronos. This is a very advanced machine. Okay if you're someone like Jordan Rudess but for the average guy it's all too much. I originally bought the Kronos for CX-3, the original CX-3 no longer being available. After five years ...

I use a Kawai F-20 piano style dual pedal with half damping. However, this is a reverse half damper and doesn't work properly out of the box. The cure is to put a 1000 ohm resistor in parallel with the half damper and it works like a charm. I use a ten turn variable resistor so I can set the half ...

I have a K61 and a PSR740 and I'm quite happy with both. The nice thing is that I can connect the PSR to the Kronos with one midi cable and two audio cables and have access to all the PSR voices and styles on the Kronos. So - instant Kronos arranger - best of both worlds.
