Seems this editor doesn't work with current Mac OS (Catalina 10.15.2) Looks like the latest version of the editor (2.00) was released in 2016... Any word on plans for an update? This synth is currently being sold new by retailers (at least the S version) and deserves Korg's support Oh man this is ...

Ableton full integration options

I'd like to fully integrate R3 into my Ableton so I can save all sounds settings and presets inside Ableton and combine it with e.g. Ableton's midi effects such as the new LFO. What options do I have and how much work would each require? I've come up with at least the following: 1. Create a ...

Re: Live keyboard-mode sampling?

Record a sample via the mic and have it at once spread across the keyboard and ready to play melodies and chords. And not in one-shot mode (tap a key and the whole sample plays) but in an organ-like mode where the sample plays only as long as you hold a note down. You can, but it doesn't sound any ...

For the MX it's MONO across the board. If you've got any questions after you've had a chance to play around with the MX, just let us know. So even though it's mono,it needs 2 1/4" plugs? No, if you only want mono, it only needs one plug. You can just use the left one if you're playing mono. If you ...

pitch glide/portamento on keyboard mode I have to disagree. You have plenty of good keyboards and synthesizers, including sample-based keyboards. I think people are too hung up on the keyboard aspect, microsampler is a sampler and that's also what I think it should do best. Sample-based keyboards ...

Re: Microsampler and a monosynth

Well, you've got the filter, tremolo, vibrato, and a ring modulator... I'd hardly consider that 20 to 30% of what a real synthesizer can do I'm thinking more along the lines of 20-30% of the knobs you actually use live, including... The lack of portamento, attack on the amp and basic ADSR filter ...

Re: Microsampler and a monosynth

how effective it would be to program a sound on it, sample that into the microsampler and pitch that across the keys and play it with the microsampler's polyphony instead of the synth's monophony. It can easily be done, but one of the beauties of having a synthesizer is being able to manipulate and ...

If a midi thru is not present on the device, many products are stingy about what information they echo at their output. I have a few 4 way splitters and a few 2 way mergers, by Midi Solutions ( http://www.midisolutions.com/ ) that have solved all my communication problems. Midi clock is generally ...

Maybe I am misunderstanding you then. Couldn't you use "auto next" and pick four keys then set the time to 2 bars so that your 8 bar loop will become 2 bars on each key? Obviously, the bmp of the sample would have to match the microSAMPLER to make sure the timing was right. Please note as I haven't ...

I don't quite remember techniques mentioned in this video, but you can take a look on the videoanswer of mine. I used to do autoloops with a separate controller (still possible without it, as far as I remember). And - seriously - with the Ableton in touch, why would you use a microSampler for ...

Re: microSampler is an awesome looper! However . . .

Sorry, no help from here. From what I understand, your solution is the best possible. If you make the patterns/loops within Microkorg, you not only have to trigger them a bit after one, you also have to make them shorter than 1 bar so as to not spill on to the second bar (creating a one bar play ...

Re: Kaossilator, microsampler and padkontrol together?

Actually, can I just hook a kaossilator pro midi out -> padkontrol -> microsampler? Will this sync the tempos of both kaossilator and microsampler?

I'd really like to know before purchasing any of this gear...

Re: MPC 1000 + Keyboard vs Microsampler

Hey Im considering how much of the functionality of the Korg microsampler I could get by pairing an MPC1000 with a midi keyboard controller. Is it possible to record samples so they are immediately spread across the keyboard? I know the MPC is a lot more powerful so what does the microsampler do ...

Kaossilator, microsampler and padkontrol together?

I understand I should be hooking my kaossilator pro to my microsampler via midi so the kaossilator can set the beat. Microsampler can probably follow kaossilator if I run patterns off of it - right? Now, if I were to add a padkontrol to this mix, how would it work? The microsampler only has one midi ...
