I belive it's just because it is based on an old Triton architecture; an expanded old Triton. Since Oasys is on market since 2005 if I remember correctly (a year after Extreme release), it was time to adapt EDS for the entire workstations range soon. Just a thought

thanks Sharp for the tip; I was just comparing the official distributor's suggested prices in two Europe countries (megamusic.pl vs korg.de)

btw. the value of the bundle at Thomann is around €45 which would give the final price around 1979-45 ~= €1930, still way to go to €1836

I don't expect anymore updates. But having this come out more than a year after official discontinue, does indicate that a future bug-fix could happen. (I don't know of any other bugs, aside from the RAM-related ROM artifacts thing). according to the tonydo64's experience, this OS update can ...

tony, I am happy this helped You so greatly. Strange is this issue, very peculiar. I wonder what would happen if You now downgraded to 1.0.5... just a thought.

the governments can't stop products and services to the imported and exported OK, but the local "European" prices won't encourage the customers as well. I can observe it on my country (which by some means can be compared to Croatia). Anyone who has the opportunity here, do everything to bring the ...

this is great. Let me ask whether this is the last update ever done for TEX or the idea of updates isn't definitely closed? Thanks

Think of the flashing tempo LED is like a pulse, when the OS is dead (due to some serious error) TEX is breaking the main loop and everything just freezes including this LED :) Btw. a hot subject which is the OS update is something the first time occured to me as TEX user (what a feeling :)). It is ...

Speaking of the difficulties in this matter ... if I was Korg fan I would nag them to find a new distributor in Poland ASAP. I have proves of their (Megamusic) incompetence. On the other hand I cannot prove everything is their fault, rather than Korg. I do not want anyone's bussiness go down in ...

Thanks for suggestion. Yes FC7 is quality thing and I was told it will work with Triton but... it costs around 1/2 MORE than EXP-2 here. I just called a shop and was told that the Moog EP2 works with Roland units... that is - it has probably similar specs to Roland EV5 - anyone has experience ...

the result is: USB MIDI In signal is not passed to MIDI THRU (while MIDI DIN In -> THRU works of course). So the answer is no - it will not pass to Synth2 that way. Note that my OS version is 1.0.2 but I rather doubt this feature has been added in the update.

expression pedal

Hello, so the exp-2 is not available here in Poland anymore. Yamaha expression pedals are too expensive. I was thinking of Roland EV5 with variable attenuation, but there is also other alternative - Moog EP-2: http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-MOO-EP2-LIST This one seems a very good choice but ...

I quite often use the mod wheel to control parameters such as filter cut-off on various synths. Now I get it. I thought You want to control a default pitch LFO with a ribbon more preciselly than with modwheel. Triton is all in one thing, so actually - it's not "best" in anything (my opinion).
