We have a local plastics supplier and he gave me a bottle of this.

Works good but you have to buff it with a soft cloth which takes time.

Since you'd be taking it a part anyway, I'd try reseating the cable. I had the same problem (though I'm not sure of the error code). I took it apart cleaned it all and pushed the cables all back in nice and tight. No problem since. Then if it still messed up get a new touch pad. If you don't want to ...

Cool thanks for the info! Someday when I get better at improv I'm going to busk. I've already got the solar panel to power the kaoss, kp3 and a small amp. I'll for sure be trying your techniques. Still a long way for me to go though  !

The best way for me to learn seems to be by playing with it. I found the sweet spot for me. Switch between 50 on the time and .25 on the speed or vice versa. If I set the slider to this point when I switch, the effects I'm looking for are still there. I've always had plenty of time (at least 8 ...

Hey SMK, Actually I do have a KP-3! I'll poke around on here tonight to find the posting. I take it involves midi controls? I hope so. I made a cable with the intent of synchronizing the beats of the K-pro and KP3. Now this will be the catalyst to get me going. Thanks and I'll let you know what ...

Hey I wish I could help you more but my first Kaoss was a KP2. It did have sampling but it wasn't suited to what I wanted to do. I sold it to a guitarist and he's still using it. That radiohead song looked like two guys were doing the digital parts, lots of pedals too. I don't know if Thom's voice ...

Maybe I'm doing things wrong. (wouldn't be the first for me) I set the ARP for speed and select a drum or bass. Speed allows me to set rigid timing for the notes. For example 1 is a quater note .5 is an eighth, etc. If I just tap a rhythm with the pad and no ARP, I'm usually off with the loop and ...

Bah! No switching ARP on the fly and no sustaining notes on the pad while changing banks. Flint and stone Jim...I'm working with flint and stone! It's all good, I can get around it. I'll loop the bass and rhythms on the KP3 and leave the Kaossilator banks for filler. Perhaps on the Kaossilator 2 ...

Bummer but not a huge deal. I usually make my rhythm loops separately. I'll have to rule out improv starting from scratch but I'm not that good so it dosen't matter anyway  . Perhaps Kaossilator 2.....

Thanks for the info, very helpful.

Sample loop sharing

Ok I've been sitting at my desk all day 'supposedly' working on a new schematic. Instead I've been on this fourm posting like a busy beaver....or er Duck. Anyway last post before I work for real. Is there anyway to share loop files on this forum? Would it be forbidden? If we can't add attachments ...

corrupt samples when looping

First I want to say Kaoss products rock. I'm not a musician but even I can get people dancing with my Kaossilator and KP3. I've just submitted an earlier post about the apreggiator and now I'm asking about corrupt samples.....I still love you KORG! When I'm using my Kaossilator Pro and I'm jumping ...

I reseated the cable(s). I work with industrial automation and the second thing I do when there is trouble is make sure all the connections are tight. Thermal creep, oxydation and vibration can loosen or cause intermittent connections. So a quick snugging or reseating can often fix a simple problem ...

Switching the Kaossilator pro's arpeggiator on the fly

Hey all, I've perused the Kaosilator pro manual and I've seen no warning about switching between speed and time for the ARP while the unit is on. I held my breath and tried it and while nothing blew up I noticed something weird when I switched back. I like to use speed for setting up my rhythm loops ...

My KP3 would lose responsiveness periodically. I finally took it apart and reconnected the ribbon cable coming from the X/Y pad. Works great now. I wouldn't suggest doing this unless you are familiar with electronics. Losing the memory from the banks could also be an intermittent issue with power ...

For me I scoured the goodwills and second hand shops. I bought a Sony home surround reciever for $75 and a couple of older Harmon Karmon (sp?) speakers for $50. Sounds great in the basement. Loud enough to get my wife to yell 'turn that crap down!'...awesome! I even changed the display from CD to ...
