OK so has anyone been able to get the Electribe and Gadget to actually sync? I cannot get Gadget to sync with anything.

I am using USB out to my iPad for external synths via the CCK. I am also connecting the Electribe's midi out into a midi solutions quadra thru (which works perfect and is cheap), and gives me the option of adding 4 extra hardware synths, with a clean midi signal. I am syncing my microbrute se with and sending notes from my Electribe via midi. So far it works great, but my brute seems to be out of tune. A C note on the tribe is equal to a D note on the brute. I have not looked at calibrating it yet.

Deoxit is expensive, but I swear by it. I revived a midi foot controller, with half the switches dead in the water. If it doesn't work the first time, keep trying, it takes time.

If i connect the cck with ipad, there is no connection showing up. The only thing happens the audio output becomes silent... I tried also, ielectribe, iPolysix, but not able to play the synths over midi. I didn't look to see if anything was "showing up" in the ipad. I just set the synth (Nave) to ...

You should be able to plug and play with Gadget and Electribe, you have to set Gadget's sync to external in the midi setup. But good luck getting them to sync up, the midi sync on Gadget sucks. I can't get gadget to sync with anything. I really wish Korg would provide Midibus support for Gadget.

If that was packaged in an Elektron style box, I would be very intrigued. But that thing is so ugly, and I can't afford a Wookie to co-pilot.

As soon as I receive my Electribe, I will be designing a stand similar to the one I designed for my Ableton Push. Unfortunately no one in Canada seems to have any ideas when they will get here.

No worries, I knew it would be tough when listing specific gear. It was definitely a learning experience. I didn't try Ableton right off the bat because I was reading that there would be clock issues etc, but I ran it hundreds of bars, and my gear seemed to be in perfect sync, so pretty happy with ...

Problem solved.

Answer - sequence everything with Ableton Live.

Should have just done that in the first place.
