I would open it up and see if the wire to the speaker came off if you don't mind voiding the warranty. I opened my volca beats to do the snare volume mod today and the wire to the batteries just fell off. The soldering on the battery wire sucks. So i just soldered it back on. Hope that helps

Rechargable batteries are way to expensive and all the power supplies are to expensive. Anyone know where to get the cheapest power supplies for the volca?

I've seen other posts asking for someone to give them the file to upgrade the old emx-1 to EMX-1sd patterns, but there of no help.

I have a EMX-1 and my pattern knob will skip around a little. I heard that it is common on the EMX-1. I'm thinking about upgrading to the SD version, because of this. Does anyone know if they have fixed this problem on the SD version?

I found the X1SD.EMX file with the EMX-1sd's new patterns. I want to update my EMX-1's patterns, but I don't have a smartmedia card. Can I use midi-ox or another program to load the new patterns?

How would you do it in MIDI-OX?
