The Global has ALL of the sounds and algorithms from previous versions, a better signal output strength and quicker program changes. There's nothing you lose by buying the Global.

Speaking of unusual interfaces, I see you have a Beat Thang. How is it? The autochop is great, and FAST. timestretching is unusably slow and sloppily executed. The sequencer is a bit too bare bones. The massive sample RAM and polyphony makes it a good module or scratch pad though. Too bad it looks ...

Nobody tell Kevin Nolan about chromatic button accordions. I bet he'd hit the roof. Honestly, I'd like to have a MIDI controller arranged that way. Add velocity and aftertouch, maybe another dimension or two per button, and you'd have the compact controller of my dreams. Two octave span? Easy ...

I'm glad Novation had the guts to upscale the Mininova - The Ultranova is a seriously underrated synth. Actually the Ultranova came first and the Mininova a built upon that synth engine with a few new tricks. 8) But you are spot on - very underrated synth! Came back here to point that out :). On ...

So it's a Japanese thing. There's clearly some quirky little fietish going on over there that they can't let up on - probably to do with size, cuteness, Anime or whatever; because it's only Yamaha, Roland and Yamaha releasing minikesy - no other company at all. *cough* Novation Mininova and Arteria ...

I use a Zoom R24 for my recording and it's crystal clear. You can set it to 24bit/96khz as well. The extra inputs are great and you can have 16 other tracks playing as you record. That or the Tascam 32 track recorder, which looks AMAZING. The Tascam has an effects send return loop whereas the zoom ...

The ES2 isn't really a phrase sampler or a looper. There are better tools for that job. If you want to loop, checkout the Boss RC505

I have the DX and YC. I was testing out the Nord combo organ in a shop next to the YC and my friend noted that the YC sounded amazing. The DX, with its ability to shape the operators and two simultaneous effects sounds huge. Also, it's a doddle to program. I'm very happy with them both, especially ...

By the way, random value changes are often due to knob jitter caused by a short on the pots from the metallic top of some capacitors below. This requires you to open the unit and insulate between the mother and daughter boards. There are several threads on here detailing how to do this.

The 13/14 and 15/16 by default are mute groups, to simulate hihats. If 13 is sounding, 14 will cut it off and vice versa. You can switch this on and off per part. Check it out in the manual.

You almost certainly have the "knob jitter" problem. A physical fix is required using greaseproof baking paper or similar. The procedure is on this forum if you search for it.

Do it like any other software project. Create a user needs backlog, put a priority and a rough size estimate against the feature. Then groom the backlog and pick off what can be delivered within a timebox.

I would honestly try the knob jitter fix. It takes very little time and it's easy to do.

You have to press play because unless you have "audio in thru" on, the Audio in is sequenced (gated and effected), without the sequence running, the oscillator doesn't know what to do. I'd imagine if you press the pad allocated to audio in, it would sound, just like pressing a pad in trigger mode.
