WTF!!! I think you are RIGHT. I'm trying to figure out why the Nord EP's aren't as exciting to me... and the effects too! With two twists of a knob I could have a an over driven crunchy EP sound. On the Nord it's not so simple, and I still can't get the results I'm looking for. Plus I really loved ...

What you say makes complete sense. Also, I am not a professional musician so I will never be able to judge these keyboards in a live setting. I definitely am impressed with the build quality of the Nord. I was also curious to see how the action of the keys felt compared to the SV1 (which I was ...

Well I got the Nord today, and at first listen the piano was definitely an improvement over the SV1. But for the money, I was expecting that. However I must admit, I already miss certain things with the SV1. The EP sounds were simple, but they always sounded good. The Nord is a little more ...

Thanks for the positive feedback. One tends to get a little fearful when spending more than double for a keyboard they've never seen, touched, or heard in person before. I just packed up the beautiful SV1, and I must admit I'm really sad to see it go. The damn thing just looks so cool. I expect the ...

Thanks! You are right about the short decay with the piano sounds on the SV1. I wonder why that is?

I'll let you know my first impressions of the Nord when I get it tomorrow.

Leaving the house of Korg.... :(

I chose the SV1 because I LOVE the design and the concept... it truly seems to have a soul. I loved the simplicity of the way it works, and the Rhodes sounds are simply incredible! But the bottom line is the piano sounds just weren't cutting it for me. Yes they were great, but I guess the Kronos ...

Can I create my own split?

I'm trying to figure out if I can create my own splits... some of the stock favorites have upright bass on the left, piano on the right, so I would assume the ability is there. Can I create my own using the editor? I see no mention of this in the manual.

Thanks in advance!

It's amazing how many requests I've gotten through eBay asking why I'm giving up. I feel like such a quitter! But I must admit, I'm already making tracks and burning them to disk with Abelton - for some reason I was able to learn that much easier than I was the Kronos. Also, I must admit the Abelton ...

Thanks again for the advice. I was concerned about the sounds, but I've been listening to some of the samples from Abelton, and they seem to be rather impressive to me. I really like some of the drum kits they have. I'm not claiming the sounds are better than the Kronos - I must admit in the short ...

I'll tell you what, if the bids don't get any higher, I may jump out the window. I'll give you my address before I do, and you can come and take it!

I understand what you're saying. Normally when I purchase a new piece of equipment, I learn everything I can about it before it arrives. This is the first exception. Unfortunately I move too fast. I already ordered Ableton Suite along with an Akai 88 key controller... and some other things ...

Now I understand. I was going back into the forum to post my eBay link and remembered that I never responded to the folks that were trying to help me. I had already tried normalizing a track like they suggested, which helped, but I had already decided about Abelton by that time. I realized I never ...

I think there is confusion here... I'm sorry if anything seems dishonest but I can assure you that is not the case. I listed the item on eBay first, THEN posted the link. I have not retaken the photos yet. Please explain why that may seem irregular. As for the warranty, I did NOT realize that was ...

Yikes - I didn't think about the timing. Oh darn... When I first got it, I spent about 30 minutes trying to go through the basics, and was completely overwhelmed. I am ashamed to admit how many hours I have into the tutorials. Also, I travel a lot for my job - so I would spend all of my flying time ...
