Sounds like SoundQuest themselves don't know when this 3.0 editor will get out. But thanks for the source.

Kronos Editor - any updates coming?
Obviously, the Kronos Editor is going to need some overhauling to be compatible with 3.0.2 along with Kronos 2. I don't se anything about this amongst all the hoopla re. 3.0.2. Having just got the update, I made a quick test and the Editor and Kronos still seemed to be communicating OK. The editor ...

subtle....
A very subtle effect, I must say....
99.9% of the people who listen to music that has KRONOS in the mix will never even notice such nuances.
I hope the next version will give us some more controls over the effect, although what those might be I can't imagine.... something WEIRD I hope.

A Luigi Dallapiccola composition- orchestra incl. Kronos
This is a very quiet piece. It is a computer "orchestration" of Luigi Dallapiccola's composition, "Piccola Musica Notturna." Kronos was a major part of the arrangement, doing most of the string sounds. Other players: Mach5, Kontakt Altiverb, Sibelius 7, Digital Performer 8. FWIW, here is a ...

A good update!
I did the whole 2.1.0 update yesterday, including the firmware, all the sound banks, and the editor (Mac version). It all went smoothly and so far no problems noticed. The new CX3 sounds are great, although I don't use organ sounds very much. The Editor seems to be somewhat more responsive, in terms ...

Sibelius 7 sound config for Kronos?
I've recently upgraded to Sibelius 7 and would like to try using my Kronos for playback. I was wondering whether anyone knew of a Sibelius "sound set" that would work for this purpose. I'm not sure I'm up to reprogramming the General MIDI soundest...

Re: Chickensys Translator etc for Kronos
I'm not familiar with Chicken Sys. (what a name!) -- do people on this forum think their software is of good quality? and reliable? I just took a quick look at their website and am hopeful... Just a heads up to let you know Chickensys will be releasing Translator/Constructor/Instrument ...

Re: preferrable methods of recording kronos
This is a very interesting thread! So far, 82% voted that they use the L/R outputs connected to an interface, which is what I usually do also. My Kronos outs 1-4 are going to an 8-input converter (then via FireWire to the Mac) and I just find it convenient to run everything at 44.1 kHz. The ...

didn't work...
Sorry to be a bother over this, but after tweaking my KRONOS.midnam file as instructed, Digital Perf 7 still does not see the patch names. I'm not sure I understand the audio and MIDI device names and setups described in this thread, so here's what I have: (1) In Audio MIDI Setup, there is a USB ...

FWIW, I think M-Audio makes such an adaptor (S/PDIF coax to optical (TOSLINK)). MOTU 2408mk3 has ADAT optical I/O and coaxial S/PDIF I/O. ADAT optical I/O is not the same as optical S/PDIF, and the two cannot be connected together. To connect the 2408 coaxial S/PDIF to the KRONOS optical S/PDIF, you ...

Re: "System startup failed, please disconnect any USB d
Coincidentally I got the exact same error msg. yesterday, and I haven't done any hardware upgrades whatsoever. I have, however, kept up with the KRONOS OS updates, etc. After the error, I disconnected my USB flash drive and USB hard drive, and rebooted, and had no further problem. And my USB devices ...

Re: KRONOS Patch Lists for OSX: midnam and middev files for
I'm having exactly the same problems, except that I'm using the filename KRONOS.midnam. I've tried locating this in my Library/Audio/MIDI Devices folder, also Library/Audio/MIDI Devices/MOTU, also Library/Audio/MIDI Devices/MOTU/Korg. (I did this one at a time, not all at once!) In all cases ...

It's nice to hear from an expert such as QuiRobinez re. his experiments with the Editor 2.0. And I very much look forward to any Editor-related tutorials you may produce, Qui! I'm running Editor w/ Mac OSX Lion 10.7.5, and the latest Korg USB/MIDI driver update. I've found it to be communicating ...

Great sounds - thanks!
Hey QR, thanks and a big round of applause for this soundbank and your other ones too. Great examples like this are very helpful for learning to program the Kronos, which I'm just beginning to do. And also thanks for the great tutorial videos! The "sampling" video saved me a lot of work and answered ...
