Akai multisamples now load perfectly with OS 1.6 and they sound great. I like the Kronos envelopes; after fine tuning all converted sounds feel great and its a joy to play them. Only one little thing is missing still: Great wish :-) .... for the sample player engine the filters resonance of all the ...

Akai partitions loaded but kronos hangs up

I can load single akai 1000 samples without problem; but loading a partition
ends up in a crash of the system; i can see on the monitor that all of the samples are loaded .. but at the end the kronos does not react any more to button press (OS system 1.5) .. that's very bad :-(

Hi, I urgently desire two things in a future OS update :-) 1) The ability to join together two (or perhaps three ?) different programs into a newly created combi, so that the insert effects are copied; It is clear to me that this involves some doublings and therefore redundancy for the effects used ...

Why should the oasys be better than the tritons in this respect. Korg ignored the sequencer and midi file play for their synthesizer series since the early 90's. It's a mistake!

I do not like this superficial discussion. I think Roland is going into the right direction to offer some - whatsoever physical model or not - emulations of good e-piano sounds. There is no dedicated attempt of KORG in this direction so far, which I think is a big failure. Mod-7 is great !!!!! But ...

Hi Sina,

found it quite interesting that the noise issue is so important for you. Good musical instruments always produce an enormous amount of noise (my minimoog does, my paula does, my violin does; the list can be continued without end). Rainer

I think Mod-7 is a great synth engine (judging this from p.mahr's demos
which are very impressive). Mod-7 makes the Oasys into a very expresssive instrument. However, I also think Dr. Vanderberg demo's of the Octopus are impressive. But why do you happy Oasys owners make such a fuZZ about it?

Hearing this -- 3 month for a repair -- I am glad having not bought the Oasys.
I realize that a lot of the Oasys keyboards have their problems now and then.

One does not need to know the difference between software and hardware.
Either the m3 responds to its genuine keyboard in a proper way, or it does not. What else is important?

Hi Ski, a serious answer to your question on exciting new designs of EG-generators for the oasys. Look at Bruce Duncan's page of Modcan synthesziers. There you find the answer. He has two brilliant digital EG-generators. This is what the oasys could easily adopt. Rainer

I agree, the AL-1 cannot convincingly simulate some of the prominent aspects of the minimoog; but neither can the moog voyager (although it is better in doing that). The problem are the "deep bass" sounds. I do not know why. But its evident for me. Is it the digital ascillators? I don't know ...

The blue german synth has some nice waves Smile. To get the original ones into the OASYS is also a good idea... have to check who owns a 2.2 or 2.3 which is still working.
Look for instance at http://www.hylander.com/miniwave.html .
