You didn't try the Casio PX5S? I sold my SV1 and bought the Casio. After a while I thought I was missing something so bought another SV1 and tried it side by side with the Casio. It was no contest and could not wait to get the SV1 out of my house.

I own a PX-5S and a Kronos 61. Come on, do you really expect a $999 Casio to compete with a Kronos? That being said, the PX-5S is no slouch. The sounds in it are very good for the most part(yeah the organs suck) and will perform admirably on it's own. The PX-5S performs 2 great functions; 1) It's a ...

because .... ? The action!! Many reasons, but the best one is the action! The keybed on the PX5S is much better than the RH3. Yet pianomanchuck http://youtu.be/Wq-Czb-Ramg prefers the Kronos action over the Casio and definitely over a Nord Stage 2 so I suspect its personal preferences. Sounds like ...

Absolutely loving playing the Kronos from the Casio PX-5S. . +1! Best move I could of made getting rid of the Kronos 88 and getting the Kronos 61 and PX5S. I have yet to come across a better combination. because .... ? The action!! Many reasons, but the best one is the action! The keybed on the ...

Touch on the Leslie picture, this will take you to where you will see a tab on the bottom labeled "Amp/VC/Rotary SC", touch on that. On the very top left of the page you will see "Amp Type" and one of the options will be "Preamp". select that and that should do it. btw, I'm using the new GSi Burn ...

I have owned 2 SV-1's and now have the PX-5S. As a controller the PX-5S is much better and you are much better off with it instead of the SV-1. I tried the SV-1 as a controller with the Kronos and Kurzweil as well as synth and piano software and it just never felt right, whereas the PX-5S worked ...

Sold my SV1 for the Casio PX5S. Better pianos, better action, lighter weight. The factory EP's are okay, but there are some downloads on the Casio Forum with some outstanding EP's.

Rebates don't necessarily mean anything new. They were offering a $500 rebate right before NAMM on the SV-1 a couple of years ago and everyone thought for sure a new model was coming out. Never happened.
