This works great and now I know what I did wrong. See, I wasnt pressing rec in step mode, but I was actually entering step rec mode (function + record), it's a subtle difference.... The way you showed however makes so much more sense..

I updated my Volca sample because i'd really like to use this function but somehow i can't seem to get it to work either.
