Well, it seems Kevin was right all along, I got a message today that they can't deliver the 2600FS. I don't know why I had to wait for more than 3 months before they knew. But I think mostly Korg is to blame, for not being really honest. So you can imagine that I'm not amused, to say the least ...

I contacted Thomann again on it a few days ago. They product manager went and specifically enquired with Krog - but came back and said they literally have no news of any kind to report. I'm curious how a Dutch supplier can quote 26 weeks, and Thomann are unable to find out anything. And I emphasise ...

The latest news is that my music store (one of the bigger ones in Holland) say they will be able to deliver, but in 26 weeks. When I pre-ordered it, it was supposed to be 3 weeks, but I did not really believe that anyway. So I can't do anything but wait, and see if they can fulfil their promise ...

I just asked someone over Facebook to go ask Korg at NAMM how many of these are being made. The answer: 400. That's it. No "initial run". 400 in total - no more runs. From the horses mouth - at NAMM! Since those 400 were preordered by top artists upon invitation from Korg - it means there was never ...

I ordered the 2600 FS the day it was announced at my local music shop (that advertised it, and still does). So if it's true that the full size was only intended to be an appetizer and marketing ploy for the mini version, I will, as punishment, go for the Behringer, and buy that somewhere other than ...

I've just been informed by a reliable source that only 500 ARP2600s were made. 500 have sold. That's it, and they're not making any more! Phew - that was fast!! Wow, maybe cutoff for first run? Interesting sales decision. I just asked someone over Facebook to go ask Korg at NAMM how many of these ...

"Flagship abandonware" (see above) seems to nail it it pretty much for the Prologue. A lesson learned. Obviously there is nothing like Korg Kronos quality development and maintenance any more, on the present Korg management horizon. I think the current Korg management is more interested in pleasing ...

Re: King korg keybed

Hi guys, Been thinking about getting king korg to my gigging upper board. So I've a weighted piano for all my pianos and EPs, KK would be for all the other stuff (leads, pads, synth sounds, dirty EPs, organs). For the sounds, I'm very satisfied for everything and the tweakability. The keybed seemed ...

I think it's clear that Korg has rushed the Prologue to market. Maybe they knew the Moog One was coming and tried to get some of the 'analogue poly' market share. Just speculation of course, but at least it' s very strange they didn' t want to wait, the faults and bugs are too obvious to be ...

No surprises about the D05 then... But I'm concerned about the lack of any further developements on the System 8 Plug-Out side of things . Roland keep promising more, but there's been nothing - I fear it's going the same way as the Fantom G. I fear that, in the near future, any new System-1 and 8 ...

Exactly, feels that way right?, but i'm still hopefully for the WOW moment to come, it is early, heard Moog might be springing something new, possibly new Modular. It would be nice if Moog goes eurorack. Wouldn't it be cute to see miniature versions of their modular stuff? :) Maybe there is a ...

Buy from another EU country via a VAT registered company and you get it for nearly the same price as in USA. I did the math.
Ok, I didn't know that. Thanks for the advice!

Screw that, DeepMind-12 sounds awesome! Looks like a very interesting synth. Should have had a couple more waveforms, but it's very versatile and very competitively priced compared with other analogue and VA poly synths. Only a bit weird that the price is much higher in Europe than in the US ...

I agree with Dragon: TAL does a much better job at emulating the classic Junos. For my ears the whole system 8 does not have great VA modelling. The synths are still well useable - just not well suited as replacements for the originals they try to emulate. Similar for the boutique series. The JDXA ...
