Thanks. I actually figured it out. The octave box on the touchscreen is not activated (does not turn blue) when it is touched like with other parameters, but responds to the value wheel and the octave can be easily changed.

One more question re assigning different voices to pads......I can now assign the voices, but is there an easy way to raise/ lower octave played by the pad sequence? I see how to transpose, but the octave display on the touchscreen while in pad record mode doesn't seem to respond to touch. Many ...

changing sounds associated with pads

Hi I don't seem to be able to find a section in the pa600 manual on changing sounds associated with pad hits or sequences. I've found other pad parameters that can be edited (effects etc) but I can't believe that basic pad sounds can't be changed without recording new pads. Maybe it's just me and I ...

saving new sounds to midi files

Hi I've been playing midi files in sequencer mode on my pa600, and making changes to the sounds which I can hear as the file plays, but seem to be unable to save the changes. I play the files in sequencer mode, change the sounds on the tracks I want to change using the touchscreen, save the song ...

global files, to load or not to load?

I have just loaded some Pa3X .set files into my pa600. Included in these set files are global files. I was unable to load with global protect checked, so went ahead and loaded set files anyway, including global file. Everything appears to be working properly. However, reading the forum I see that it ...

BCR2000

Hi Programming was my concern too, until I tried it. It's really very simple. I haven't even bothered with the LEARN function. I've set it up to control many parameters for both Style and Keyboard tracks. It works really well with my microarranger. I have the BCR2000 which doesn't have faders but ...

Thanks John Having recently purchased a Korg Microarranger (and your styles, by the way) I took your advice and purchased a Behringer BCF2000 through ebay which should arrive in a few days. I found it frustrating not to have easy access to various parameters and hopefully this will solve the problem ...

I returned the unit to the dealer, who set it up with their equipment and compared the sounds to a demo Krome 61 they had in stock. They confirmed that the Krome 73 was faulty as the 61 showed no distortion.

I picked up a 73 key Krome from Long and Mcquade in Calgary on 20th October. I ordered it a week or two before that. I'm sure they could get you one sooner than beginning of December.

Thanks Bob etc Yes, if I turn the volume of the piano patch down and increase volume on master, the distortion disappears from both headphones and monitors. However, most of the piano/ keyboard patches distort at preset volumes, therfore I would need to adjust all volumes prior to playing with a ...
