The good thing is that the actual keyed, the RH3, is used on loads of different keyboards. Spares for that will not be a problem for a long time. It took me months to get a driver board for the display for a battered Kronos that is still in parts. But, guess they do still exist somewhere! I've got ...

But I found this little (~1 square inch) circuit board connected with 3 thin blue wires hanging loose inside, right by the motherboard. I was trying to figure out what it is. It looked like it had been glued to something, and had come loose. But what? Where? The part number on the little board KLM ...

Are there any MFX/TFX applied to the bass sound copied from the Program that are missing from the chain direct to 3/4?

Guessing you'll have a couple of slots available if you need to copy those into the chain…!

I always think that if the power goes off, a digital mixer/access points/PA driveracks/moving lights etc will take about the same time to start up. Probably longer, for a PA guy to run and physically mute the PA before it comes back on with a bang. Any gig I do, the contract states that reliable and ...

If you search for the data sheet for the screen (UMSH-8240MD-8T), there is a reset pin that you or a tech could try. The problem is happening BEFORE the Korg software gets a chance to load, so a Kronos re-install won't do anything. Maybe hook up a monitor and see if any BIOS stuff appears on the PC ...

Re: Korg Kronos Keys

Adam, I appreciate that! I will look into what it might actually cost to have that delivered and I will let you know. Do you know by chance exactly which parts I need? You're correct in that every key has the hammer, rubber bumper, metal spring, and the actual key. There's also the plastic strips ...

You can't really go direct in with a mic without some kind of pre amp. Otherwise it sounds all sizzle and no steak. Hope that helps. Hooch \that is COMPLETELY wrong sir! i go direct and get a great signal. just make sure the button in the back is set to MIC position....not line. I usually use a ...

Re: Kronos Keys

If you're offering, I'll take the support for sure: I'm missing the following keys: A1, G2, A3, A#3, F3, B6, C6, C#6, D6, E6. The entire assemblies are gone though and it's not clear how they're sold but it looks like the key is made up of: 1. Hammer (Metal piece) 2. Plastic piece that goes on the ...

Korg i3 Program Change

Hey, all. Do any of the learned folk here know much about the MIDI spec for the Korg i3 (recent model)? Lovely little thing! Sounds fine and paid for itself in about 20 minutes. Got a gig I need to do some drums for tomorrow and I'm out of my home country of the UAE, and not with the board (I'm next ...

That reminds me! I must try and find a 4U rack enclosure (locally, that doesn’t cost a fortune) to build my Kronos rack. Its an old K2 73 that currently works as a pile of circuit boards on my worktop! Strangely, before the Nautilus was a thing, because of limited panel space, I pared the buttons d ...

Because the app will use SysEx and CC#s to communicate. Obviously there can be no set MIDI commands to trim a sample or load from a storage drive, for example. This is OS level stuff.

The drop down menu in Combi mode will say ‘Copy from Program’. Use this. It will bring all the FX associated with it (if you tick the right boxes 😉 )

As you add more Programs into your Combi, you have to be careful to append them, or change IFX routings to fit everything into the one Combi.

I've not used it enough to know if you can use it stand alone without connection to a computer...
