Kronos quality of make?
So there appears to be a noisy fan issue. What else? I've read about keys cutting short. I know that the 2 store models I've played had a few patches where notes got stuck and kept playing forever (no note off). Then I've read about clicking sounds on certain notes and keybed issues. Does anyone out ...

Kronos or Kurzweil?
If anyone in the keyboard community out there can advise if the Kurzweil PC3Le series has vocoder effect or can mute multiple tracks on and off during sequence playback that would help me decide between Kurz and Kronos. Check out this link and you can see the Kurz is not just for light users http ...

Kurzweil versus kronos
No I'm not an organ player and have no need for draw bars/sliders (actually i used to learn on organ with foot pedals but it's not my style anymore). Whan I was doing my music production degree at Uni they had the k2000s back in the days. Always felt that korgs and motifs offered more instant ...

Is 64 polyphony a danger?
As I don't need organ sounds or sampling, the kurzweil 61le should suffice. My only concern is 64 note polyphony. Can anyone advise if this is too redundant for 16 tracks of music and a few arppegiators?

Ditching the Kronos
I totally understand where you're coming from. I've owned some Motifs before and they're great, but these days I want semi-weighted feel and the 61 key motif doesn't offer this., I despise the Motif's patter/chain method of piecing a song together. Can't deny I love the sounds, but too expensive, no ...

Dumping korg for Kurzweil
Ok everyone. Please don't hate me but I just can't justify the expense of the kronos when I won't be using the audio tracks/sampling and the weighted 73 key is quite heavy. I'm leaning towards a kurzweil pc3 le6 (semi-wieghted keys). This is all I need to sound good and I think it feels better to ...

Kronos verdict
I tryed a Kronos 61 note again today. Here is my verdict. Diverse, large sound pallete to choose from and edit, pianos ok (if you can't find one you like you're too fussy). 61 key is still quite heavy so might as well bite the bullet and get 73 key considering small price difference. Touch screen ...

MDF bottoms watch out!
By the way everyone. Had a synth once with MDF bottom. Somehow my husband dropped the base of the synth on my keyboard stand when rearranging our studio and the stand's arm pierced the MDF bottom and went straight through. Luckily no internal damage to circuit boards etc. but my Dad had to fix ...

Wish they made a weighted 61 key
Wow thanks everyone for your thoughts and insights as I haven't chosen between 61 note or 73 yet. I certainly don't need the 73 note stretch for my music and 61 keys would suffice but I do wish they had a weighted 61 key option available cause playing piano melodies just isn't the same on the light ...

Sending arp data from korg
Thanks everyone for your help. Although I haven't got a kronos yet, I was able to use your advice and send my arppegiator MIDI data to logic to record. Only problem now is that when I turn key sync on to ensure the arp is played from the first beat of the arp pattern i get a horrible distorted sound ...

Is sequencing on Kronos easy?
Hey everyone. Can someone advise how easy or hard it is to sequence songs on the Kronos? How many arps can be used at once and can you mute individual tracks in sequence mode?
