Also, you may find it helpful to read up a bit on how Subtractive Synthesis works -- the Logic Pro documentation offers a pretty solid explanation of the general principles, which apply in pretty much the same way to the Monotribe: http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicexpress/instruments/index ...

Sounds to me like you just have your synth settings all wrong... Start by turning the VCA Level up, and the VCF Cutoff up to halfway or more, the VCF Peak down low or at zero, and the LFO Int. to zero. That should give you a nice clean synth tone no matter what your other settings are at. Record ...

FWIW, the Miditribe I/O page does list this feature: - Control external synths using the Ribbon Controller for Note ON / OFF, Expression Controller (CC 11) and Gate Time Haven't tried it myself and not sure what the implementation is like. Neither the website nor the manu makes it clear *what MIDI ...

Any number of things could have gone wrong with the circuitry, from minor to major... Depending on how old it is and how you bought it, you may just want to contact Korg -- some people have had great luck with that, others not so much -- or, better still, take it back to the retailer and have them ...

Ahh yeah, of course -- that's exactly the solution! Brilliant. With a more versatile MIDI controller (or a computer somewhere in the chain) you could probably also automate the pad X&Y and the FX Depth to create wubby patterns in sync with the kpro notes, but that would just be gravy. Unfortunately ...

I just can't see why it would be difficult. The syncing function already exists -- it's what happens when you pres shift-tap, which restarts the clock and all the samples. I can see simply no reason why that function couldn't be set up to trigger and/or be triggered by a MIDI Start command. Even if ...

Totally... similarly, the ability to recognize MIDI Start commands as a trigger to re-sync the clock (again in Global mode, not Ext) would make a HUGE difference for the usefulness of either machine for synced setups

Ah sorry, I don't think I meant the same thing you're thinking of -- by "key synced" meant how synths with LFOs often let you set the LFO wave to play continuously or to re-start with each key press. On the Monotribe, for example, the Slow LFO setting runs continuously, but the Fast & 1-Shot LFOs ...

play around with all the different Filter and LFO programs -- you should be able to find something that works pretty well. The typical dubsteb wubby bass is usually achieved with an envelope filter and/or a key-synced LFO on a synthesizer -- you can't do *exactly* that, but if you feed your KP3 a ...

I actually don't have a problem with it at all -- it just surprises me! Personally, if I was saving up my money to spend on a piece of audio gear, I'd be watching YouTube videos and reading reviews to make sure I understood what I was buying. You can shop however you want! I'm just saying, your ...

Regarding the delay feedback, while there is a certain amount of permanent delay on some programs, you can turn most of it off by holding shift so the volume slider becomes the FX Release slider. It's infuriating that the slider is shared because if you want to change stuff while playing you can't ...
