I love the AL-1. I play a lot of covers from all eras and I haven't come across a sound I haven't been able to reproduce with this one yet. Also love the Polysix.

I don't really mean to accuse anyone of being lazy. I just honestly think it's a very useful skill to have and forcing oneself to relearn covers using relative harmonics helps a lot, after a while. Unless the songs are very complex, I don't usually have to "learn" it in another key at all, it just ...

Get Transcribe! from www.seventhstring.com and learn the song in the right key straight away. Also, to be honest, relearning songs you already know in a different key is GREAT practice. Try to think of all the chords as I, II, V, bVII etc. This will get a lot easier after a few songs and will ...

So, how do you preserve the split points of your combis when you use global transpose?

Sounds like we have the same song list. I'd be interested to see/hear how you made the distinctive hard leads in Pokerface and Just Dance, by the way. I ended up just sampling it from the intro of Just Dance. I did the same thing for Just Dance. I have something close using the AL-1 with a square ...

I play a lot of covers. Made some sounds I could share. Not happy enough with all of them but some are pretty good. Sounds like a nice project! I play a lot of covers too and have some decent patches I could share (Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Rhianna, Katy Perry, LMFAO and that sort of thing). Probably not ...

Thanks guys. maybe I just need to get more familiar with set list mode. If it combines the features of Roland's Live Setting and Favorite Mode, the latter which I am familiar with, but never used, it might do what I need it to do. When I select a "song title" in Set List mode, I just want to be able ...

Kronos Combi Mode vs. Roland Performance Mode

Hi all, Still getting familiar with my new Kronos 88. Up until now I'd been using a Korg N1 and a Roland Juno-G for live performance. The Kronos is replacing my N1. The Roland's version of Set List mode is "Live Setting" which is also nice for arranging sets. However, on the Roland I use a lot of ...

Help with loading samples at start up

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and just recently purchased a new Kronos 88. I've owned Korgs in the past and this is a fantastic board. I have a Roland Juno G which I also use and am very familiar with. Sampling on the Roland is a piece of cake and and with performances that I set up that uses ...

You can save your sampled sounds to the SSD or a USB drive, but they still have to be loaded into the system upon powering up. At power up just allot yourself about 30 seconds to preload all your samples you have stored on SSD into the memory and you're good. I'm having a difficult time finding how ...
