I want to trim the end off an midi file which contains no sound. After I recorded the MIDI using QUICK record on the Pa4X, I didn't hit the STOP button straight away. Any suggestions on a free Sound Editor suitable for Windows(external solution) or can I do it onboard the 4X (perfect solution).

I created a MIDI file on PA4X some years ago with the onboard PA4x STYLES. Is their a simple way I can determine what STYLE I used? Obviously I can go back through the styles and find out which one I used.. SLOW way. I wondered whether I could determine this a QUICKER way.

Hi Siebenhirter, I just realised I changed VAR1, rather than FILL1. My mistake. When I changed VAR1, VAR2, VAR3 and VAR4 to 4, it worked perfectly. Thank you for your help. Regards, Ross

I modified as per your instruction, but unfortunately it didn't make any difference. The measure decreases from 16 to 4 when I look at the M on the style window, (when the style is playing) but as I said it doesn't the VAR doesn't fill the whole 6/8 bar.

I have REALDRUM.SET which comprises STYLE/SOUND/PCM sub-folders. When I load it overwrites my current folders and I doesn't give me a choice where I want to load the drums. If I load the SOUND and STYLE folders seperately if doesn't sound correct. Any ideas? Regards, Rosco

I have my global split point set to D#4. I recently purchased Global Sound Platinum Edition and split points on all the styles are F#3. How do I get the PA4x to pick up the global split point and ignore the split point in the styles which came with the Platinum Edition. Any ideas?

Hi Pete, Tried your suggestion but ST1-ST4 still changes. This is what I did. I loaded the favourite ST1-ST4 from SONGBOOK, which shows up in the screen, under 1,2,3 and 4 at the bottom. All good.
