I don't know the answer but this topic interests me because in the future I will probably need to do the same - now I'm using external sampler with my M50.
My best guess is that it could be easily done with Mainstage - software.

Re: Layers & Splits to use Fantom/Motif racks sounds and
Hi Andy, as far as I know, Triton should not have limitations to use key range feature with external gear. After reading your post (as quoted) it seems you have your Fantom and Motif in the same midi channel as Triton? They all must be in different channels to be able to use the key range as you ...

Is the next combi to where you change, a Korg preset, or a preset you modified by adding a Roland sound to it? If so, my first thought is that the next combi sends an unwanted midi message that "freezes" Roland. (Had the same weird problem with Triton TR and JV-1010.) Karma, arpeggiator or drumtrack ...

Re: Fading a track in sequencer mode
Can anyone recommend an easy way to gradually fade the end of a sequencer track on the M50? Hi, try the following: Put the recording mode to "overdub", highlight the track's volume to be ready and able to adjust the volume value with the jog wheel/slider. Then record the end of the track making ...

Korg M50 Error? I need help.
Hi! I suppose that the error happens because of mechanical reason. I had a little similar problem in my X3 back in the 90's and it was caused because in the rubber "slice" that lies under the keyboard was a hole. That rubber senses the velocity and in this case I think when you press the next key ...

Using M50 as midi controller in combi mode
Hi, to create a Combi that plays a M50 sound and a sound from external source (Reason): *First you must go to P3 Timbre parameter page and select the midi status for timbre 1: INT = it plays M50 internal sound. The midi channel should be 1. (Global midi channel as default = 1) *Then for timbre 2 ...
