I find if you use all sounds from one manufacturer the mix starts to get a bit boring. If you write multiple pieces with one module and then compare them it gets downright monotonous. Sure you can tweak the mix with a few plug-ins here and there but I actually like to use different hardware synths ...

I would be suprised if 10% of the owners of either the Kronos or the Jupiter 80 could even use half of these keyboard's potential but still they cry out for more.
