Re: L and R outs
Got my Wavedrum today. What a joy. Okay, dumb question #1. Why two outs, L and R? Just for delay? There's no such thing as a dumb question :) A standard Wavedrum sound is made of four parts: head algorithm, head PCM, rim algorithm and rim PCM. Each of these can be panned individually. And yes, the ...

Wavedrum editor
Ha, first issue found! In the user's guide, in chapter "how to start", I wrote that you can start right away if your user bank's sounds are still identical with the factory bank. For the Oriental this is not quite true. After selecting "Oriental" on sheet "Model", you need to click once on the ...

Very mysterious. I got curious and just removed the two screws that held the tiny circuit board next to one of the rim piezos (the wavedrum was taken apart for a different reason anyways), thus disconnecting the rim from ground. Now there's indeed hum, but the other way round: the hum gets louder ...

No,no,I'm talking headphones here.. So there's noise/hum even if the wavedrum is only connected to your headphones and the power supply and nothing else? Just checked with my Wavedrum (which is noise-free), the rim is connected to signal ground. Maybe that connection is broken in your Wavedrum? You ...

Has anyone had any problems with ground loop noise or anything similar? On my wavedrum I hear a constant buzz/hum when not touching the rim and it goes away when i do; like what happens with electric guitars when you touch the strings. It's not loud but it gets REALLY annoying when heard through a ...

Yesterday WaterDrum pointed me to an issue some might have when trying to paste the hex version of their WD2_PROG files into my spreadsheet. When doing a copy/paste from the hex editor I use I get an uninterrupted string of hex digits like this: 000000010036003800640000001D0032 (continues endlessly ...
