Re: Ableton and wavetstate
My wavestate is not being recognized as an input. Ableton shows it as an output only, and when I put the " midi to " setting to microsoft GS Wavetable synth, the audio that comes back is just a piano tone no matter what sound I choose. i just updated to the 1.06 update and have to most current ...

As far as I can tell, there doesn't appear to be any real necessity for an integrated keyboard. I really don't see why all manufacturers provide desktop/rack mount versions of their engines. It may still be too early to tell how successful that venture was for ASM, but the fact that the Hydrasynth ...

I've had my Wavestate for almost eight months now. I played with it a bit when I first got it until I was satiated with the factory patches. Remembering what writing programs for the Wavestation was like without a proper editor back in the day (when I was a lot younger and a lot more motivated than ...

Here's a song I recorded several years ago completely on my Kronos. All guitars and the bass are run through the amp sims built into the Kronos. I even recorded the vocals on it. Have a listen and let me know what you think! https://soundcloud.com/jeremykeys/01-times-awastin That's pretty insane. I ...

It's not like this was still the 20th Century, and the Kronos was like a Karma. Back in the day (and, I guess that really wasn't all that long ago), synthesizers were based on relatively discrete circuitry, developed specifically for the synth, and pretty much set in stone after the final revision ...

[quote="SeedyLee"]I would be keen to buy them but: a) My kronos is close to death and if I buy a replacement I lose access to all my libraries I just got my Kronos 2 about a month ago so I haven't opened it up yet (because of warranty voiding issues). If I had a Kronos that was "close to death", I ...

Yes! I think the suggestion about re-initializing the drive did the trick. When I was initializing it, I noticed that I was asked about the format at that time, so perhaps something is stored in the Master Boot Record concerning the format that baffled the Kronos. Anyway, I formatted the drive on ...

I've got a question about using Akai CD Roms. When I tried using an Akai sample CD, I extracted everything with CD Xtract but it was quite a mess on my hard drive. There are multisamples and each individual wav file was basically random. I also loaded it into Kontakt but it seems that the samples ...

Here's my point Proton. Suppose I really like both Kid Nepro soundsets and would like to have them available. Also, suppose I have an on-board Radias. Now suppose, I want to add some banks by ProRec or other vendor (me, for example). Where would I put them? Sure it is easy to say that you have over ...

What can I safely delete in the Program Banks
While I think that the Expanded M3 is a good thing, overall, I am a little disappointed at the rediculous amount of on-board memory the program sets eat up. There is a stupid amount of duplication (how many suitcase pianos do you really need?), and littl;e room for the construction of your own ...
