Just found this thread, again a gem from Qui. Watched also the video tutorial, very helpful and informative again. Thank you Qui. Now a question the in the reverse direction. Can the Kronos with it's external mode also become something like a Live controller? Background: Since I haven't found (and ...

I'm pretty sure it isn't possible except by copying all settings manually. Nothing is preventing you from simply jamming with it as a sequence though. Sequences and combis are very similar, some people even prefer using sequences to combis. This is exactly what I do, but before I can have the fun ...

Can we do this ... create a Combi from sequencer mode

I didn't find it in the manuals so I hope to get clarification here. Typically we set up voices in sequencer mode by copying from combis or programs. But recently I had put together a combination in one of my songs and thought, wouldn't it be nice to create a combi out of this and prepare it for ...

Re: ideas for chaining devices together via MIDI

What I'd like to ultimately do is play the Integra from either the Prophet or the Kronos, and still be able to send program change information to all the gear from the Kronos. Is there any way of doing what I want to do without adding more hardware? In my rig I use a midi-matrix. With this set-up I ...

Same here ... but maybe that I only raise the volume of my speakers to higher gains than others do ... ;)

Looks like some of Stephen Kay's Karma-Lab programming has been added to some of the combinations. Very Cool. :D Good eyes. :) Yes, two combis from each of Karma-Lab's three KARMA-fied sound sets (Catalyst 1, Reincarnated, and the yet unreleased but coming soon Catalyst 2 - six in total) have been ...

* Actually some new engines (wind/brass modeling to compliment STR-1, Mono/Poly, something for granular and additive synthesis would be nice too) At least this could be done by software only. I missed wind/brass modeling so much that I bought an Yamaha VL70-m  But what I would like to see ...

here in my state there is only Guitar center ( ughh) plus maybe a small handful of independant stores within 400 miles. So I suppose I am out of touch with whatever they might be showing on the floor or what the hardware trends are. Thanks That is sad. I seem to be lucky to have two bigger stores ...

there are numerous synth apps for the iPad. Many are quite good from what I read by veteran synth musicians. Thats the way to go for low cost, portable , etc. I would think that Roland, Yamaha and obviously, Korg, noticed this trend a few yrs ago. Thus I have zero expectation that any rack version ...

I would love a way to repackage mine into the new case! Maybe upgrade any internals that would need it. I would like to have the display in a better position. I never liked it as it is. It would be a dream, to get something like a modular digital synth that allows to select and exchange hardware ...

It's a great looking keyboard, but I'm very happy that I don't feel the need to upgrade. I'll stick with my old 1st Gen  Yes ... and I compliment Korg for keeping a valued instrument on the path of evolution rather to drop it. Hopefully they keep doing this for many years to come :) I do hard ...

sounds like a small upgrade for users already with the kronos to push them to sell theirs to get the newest one...or buy a whole new one to add to it.. I checked the price at Sweetwater yesterday and had the impression that Kronos 2 is sold at lower price tags than in the old days, if I compare ...

Re: New Wooden ends

Hope they sell the wooden ends separately. They look very good on the new kronos :D I guess that we old-model users would need special wood ends, because the new model sports a different shape of the housing. But in case there was something like an cosmetic upgrade, I would buy one. Only thing I ...
