Goodbye SV-1

The SV-1 just got sold. I owned it for about 6 weeks.

I just couldn't take it anymore... its mainly the spongy keys that I hate. I just didn't enjoy playing piano on the instrument.

I love my old Roland F-90. If the RD-64 has a similar feel and sound, I'll buy one of those instead...

Yup, just ignore the variation light in your favorites... listen to your sound and you'll see that its saved correctly.

To underscore the point, think about the default favorites in SoundPack 2...there are splits in there that aren't available anywhere via the instrument selection knobs.

From Korg: Hello still442, Thank you for your email. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. This is an extremely busy time of year for us. The stand for the SV1 keyboard actually is NOT adjustable. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to email us again. Thank you ...

ATA Road Case "Glider" for SV-1

Anyone have any experience with this ATA case being sold on eBay?

Only $20 more than the gig bag and looks to be pretty solid. I like the feature that you can leave it in the bottom of the case to play...

The write-up for the new black stand (ST-SV1-BK) on the BH Photo site says that the legs are height adjustable. ... and the photo clearly shows one-piece non-adjustable legs! ... and the description quotes the original stand's part number (ST-SV1) rather than the updated part number (ST-SV1-BK ...

The write-up for the new black stand (ST-SV1-BK) on the BH Photo site says that the legs are height adjustable. FWIW, I also use the On-Stage platform stand and its perfect for the SV-1. I have the width set so that the rubber feet on the bottom of the SV-1 fit right into the holes on the top of the ...

I run the SV-1 into a little studio monitor/amp (Roland MC30) and then use the headphone jack on that device. It sounds WAY better and there's more headroom with volume.

I agree, there's definitely some awesome stuff in that amp modeler. I'm happier to have it than not have it, despite the issues. I'm able to even things out with the other parameters in the editor (Amp Vol), but it seems like a no brainer to be able to adjust the min/max of the drive knob settings ...

Adjusting parameters for Drive knob in editor?

Using the editor, I'd like to save the settings for the Drive knob so that instead of 1=10, 2=20, 3=30, etc. I can set it so 1=2, 2=4, 3=6, etc. so that I have a gentler slope to the drive settings.

How do I save this setting into the SV-1, for a specific preset?

KRK Rockit 5 studio monitors with SV-1

I just got an SV-1, which I'm very excited about and will report more on later... I'm looking for an inexpensive speaker option for home use, and was leaning toward a pair of KRK Rockit 5 studio monitors. The plan was just to run XLR cables out of the L/R outputs on the SV-1 into each of the ...
