A couple of people above have mentioned "during shutdown". What does this mean? I just switch mine off.

Every time it happen, I just switched off the other midi device, or unplugged the midi cable, and tried again. Always worked then.

You've mentioned overheating several times. I have NEVER heard of a single Kronos overheating. Sounds like you've taken some bullshit spouted by a Korg hater as fact.

Similar to meatballfulton above, the licensing issue did stop me from spending money on addition Korg stuff. I have bought a Kronos, but I would like to purchase additional sounds and also an additional Kronos. This way I could have one Kronos at home, and one at the studio. Unfortunately, this ...

What's your ambient room temp? Do you live in hot country? Is it near a heat-source/radiator?

I've also just assembled a huge group of musicians so they can share in my OS3.0 excitement. They trashed the place and left in a huff when they realised I'd gathered them all just to listen to some piano sound enhancement.

I remember one of my keyboards in the 80's, you could just push down hard at the back off the key and pull forward to remove. Can't remember which keyboard it was though.
