No, you cannot edit anything on the Wavetable board directly from the unit itself, because unlike the NX5R it doesn't know what type of daughter board is installed. If you're not using the To Host interface (which allows you to control both internal and Wavetable board separately) you indeed have to ...

There's an easier way: Global Menu -> G-MIDI -> Basic -> Untick "Local Control On". This way you disconnect the interface from the tone generator. To play the internal sounds you need to loopback the keyboard MIDI via software back to the synth. Otherwise the Kross is just a MIDI Keyboard with audio ...

Alternating panorama
Hi! Do you guys know of a way to have an oscillator switch between left and right each time you hit a key? I'm not talking about random panorama but really alternating left-right-left-right. I tried using "frozen" LFOs for that but the result isn't really pleasing...

No loop for samples on reverse
Hey there! I first thought it's a bug but obviously it's a feature it seems. To create wide pad sounds without flanging effects on mono systems I would like to pan both oscillators of my KROSS 2 to left and right and reverse one sample. Unfortunately after reversing it stops after a second which ...

Korg X5D Low Hum
Hello everybody, since today my X5D outputs a low hum, around 129 Hz, that seems to sit somewhere between the tone generation and the effects section, because it can be altered by the effects and also the volume fader. In fact it gets noticably louder with effects turned on. And it's both on the ...

Korg X5D demo song "Around The World" 5.1 Mixdown
Hey there, obviously not a song from me but from Stephen Kay, but I always wanted to do a surround mix of something and this song, or rather collage, is so versatile it almost begs for a surround mixdown. So I isolated the 16 tracks and added some 3D panning automation. I've never done a surround ...

Load Korg X5D sound patches into N364
Hi guys!
I wasn't able to find any information about this on the net. Since X5D and N364/N263 share the same sound engine, is it possible to directly load sound sets for the Korg X5D (either in .x5 or sysex format) into the N364? Or is there a conversion tool?
Thanks for answers!

Sorry JayB: But the X5DR have an extra Prog and Combi bank (in fact a B bank), but you can only load one of them in memory each time or make a compilation between Bank A and B. Desde Santiago de Chile. Froilán You mean the "Pre-B" preset set, which are the sounds from Korg X5. The same function is ...
