I had a bunch of non-responsive keys after storing the M50 on its back for about a year. Try this: Strike the two keys on either side of the dead key simultaneously and repeatedly. This exact same problem happened to me. I had stored my M-50 for over a year in a case with it lying so that its back (where all the jacks are) was towards the floor.
