Hey everyone. My bandmate and I have just succesfully used MIDI to start and stop the EMX. Here is how, broken down step by step: -We used the Alesis SR18 drum machine as the MIDI master. It has 1/4" footswitch outs for "START/STOP" and "COUNT/A/B/FILL -We used the Boss FS-5U footswitch -Connect ...

Thanks for the info. I figured midi cables didn't matter a whole lot as its more like phone line than speaker wire. I might end up picking up another KP3 now that I've gone full retard and bought an ESX and will be buying another synth and a mixer and whatnot. Thanks again. Its starting to feel like ...

Anyone Here Own Or Used A Miss Kitara?
Over the past decade or so I've been playing more guitar than synths but electronic instruments have always been a huge part of my life as a musician. When I saw the Miss Kitara I thought it was made just for me. I've seen videos of it doing some amazing stuff. The thought of getting all sorts of ...

Bringing this thread back from the dead. Can anyone recommend some high quality MIDI cables? I'd only need them a foot long or so or 2 feet long if and when I decide to run a mixer in between them. Does gold plating matter on MIDI cables? Does it help conductivity like it does with more conventional ...

WANT TO BUY:Korg Micro X or Other Small synth w/ full keys
Hey gang. I'm looking for a Korg micro X or possibly other smaller synths, preferably with full sized keys. I had a micro korg and I didn't like it. I had an R3 and that WS pretty cool so I might be up for buying another but I'd much rather branch out and try something a bit different. I really like ...

Are there any good stands to set my EMX and ESX on?
Currently I only have one leg after a bad motorcycle crash, so I'm left sitting down to play any instruments. At some point I would really like a stand that I can stand behind and operate my EMX and ESX along with at least 1 synth. Any suggestions for that? Also are there any suggestions for a good ...

Why do I have to mash down certain buttons now?
Hi everyone. I've found d recently that the #7 key as well as a few others on my EMX need to basically be mashed down to get a reaction from them. Like the tough sensitivity is all messed up or they're just down right ready to die co pletely. What's going on here? I use the #7 key a LOT as its used ...

I GotVery Lucky Tonight!
Nope, didn't get laid. I got something much longer lasting and less regrettable after I paid for it. I got a Korg ESX sampler for $220 shipped on eBay!!! I've been wanting one to accompany my ESX for a long while now. I recently sold my Roland TD-08 V Drums and basically used the profit to buy this ...

Thanks for you work, T; I know from experience how time-consuming this is, let alone filming your work to share. OT: do you use you foot pedal with your EMX? I'm looking for a MIDI pedal for that sort of thing. Thanks a lot man I appreciate that. I had trouble finding exactly what I was looking for ...

Thanks for sharing your experiences, TRAUMA. I'm about to load the UK Bass patterns myself, but "fortunately" I have a lot less user patterns to worry about, as I relatively recently bought the unit. Your welcome I hope I helped in some way. Your gonna LOVE these patterns man. There's great sounds ...

Also I think if you were to upload the entire UK bass pack at once, everything from C.05 on is just empty space and can be used to load up all your original patterns. I'm not 100% positive that the UK bass stuff only goes to C.05 but I think that's what I remember from loading them all one by one ...
