Just to followup, it seems like it may indeed be a pitch stick problem. When I got the issue again I nudged the stick and that seemed to rectify it. Although since this is a sporadic problem I don't have enough data points yet to confirm 100% definitively that this is the cause & solution. What's ...

Weird bug - out of tune combis
I've encountered a bug lately, whereby some of the programs in a combi get out of tune, or pitch shift. e.g I'll play an orchestral combi & some of the timbres are playing the right note and some aren't! If I check the pitch settings for each program, they seem fine. Rebooting fixes this. I've only ...

Does it really just come down to the DACs? I mean have a look inside the Oasys, the heavy duty shielding on all the wires is pretty crazy. Doesn't all that stuff have at least a little bit of an impact in shaping the final sound quality? Also at least as far as the M3 is concerned, the raw waveforms ...

I'm prone to repetitive strain injuries (tendinitis, carpel tunnel, or whatever -- have had difficulty getting a precise diagnosis) so weighted keys aren't an option for me. I've got an Oasys 76 so I'm fine for now, but it sucks that I don't have the option of replacing it / upgrading to a Kronos ...

Good analyses! I arrived at similar conclusions. For me the main issue is an A/B-comparison of the same sounds! That would be nice and clarify a lot for me! +1. This is really the main question for me as well. It sounds like the Kronos is in the same general ballpark as the Oasys as far as sound ...

Thanks for all the info, Sharp. Glad to hear that the sound quality is at least as good, if not better. Coming from the O, is there anything you didn't like? e.g. is the fact that the screen is smaller & non-tilting an annoyance, or do you think you'd get used to that very quickly? I'm really bummed ...

I'm a huge fan of the K&M Spider Stand: http://www.k-m.de/en/products/category/ ... 60-000-30/
Although I'm using it with a 76. It can theoretically hold an 88, I think, but double check the specs...
