I thought of an other feature for the Bass and Keys: assign "mod wheel" to something at start-up (the way you can currently assign a MIDI channel). LFO intensity would be an obvious candidate for both, but "mod wheel to filter" or "mod wheel to detune" would be nice for the Keys. This is something ...

I've posted this question to the facebook group to see if anybody there can confirm. Thanks for your help. You've got me worried again =P I suppose other people may have assumed I was talking about something else? Maybe not? I tried to clear things up that I fully understand 'first on, last off' and ...

My incidents are specifically when I am not hooked up to any external outputs and volume down. There is no way around it... And even when you are hooked to an external output, a pop/click still comes from the device... So what you're saying then is that your volca bass makes a noise when turning it ...

That's called a 'party foul' LOL. Are you saying the Volcas commit a party foul every time they are turned off? My incidents are specifically when I am not hooked up to any external outputs and volume down. There is no way around it... And even when you are hooked to an external output, a pop/click ...

Battery meter?

First off, I am very pleased with the battery life on these. At first, I was a little bummed they don't come with power adapters, but now I'm happy they don't. It's so much more fun to be portable and the battery life is phenomenal. I'm glad Korg is pushing it's users to be more mobile with these ...

Re: Firmware update requests

May I suggest this for a sticky? I don't know if the Volca chips have space for additional code, but if Korg is thinking about a firmware update, what would we like to see in it? Bass - A way to address the 3 oscillators individually through MIDI - A song mode for the sequencer Beats - A song mode ...

I have a volca bass and it also does this, But then again so do most things that produce audio it seems, even program synthesizers on my computer do it lol. Lol Thanks for confirming. Weird, I had headphones in and didn't bother to unhook the headphones before turning off (did take them off my head ...

There's an old rule for switching on & off d.j & production gear. Switching on - sound sources first (CD players, turntables, keyboards etc..) then mixer, then anything else in the chain & the amp comes last (Volume turned down) Switching off is the reverse. This is good practice to always follow ...

The benefit of the filter on the Keys is that it can be controlled via MIDI. Thus, you may hear stepping (given the 128 steps). This means you can sequence it using other software or hardware, you can apply another LFO to it, etc. Though, you may only hear stepping at times when the peak is high ...

Thanks. I had noticed the click every time I turned it off and then by accident, didn't hold down the power long enough to turn on and heard the click then as well. Wasn't too concerned about it, as you mentioned it's typical—especially this being budget analog gear. But there were some other c ...
