MS20 Mini volume potentiometer malfunctioning.

The volume pot on my MS20 Mini suddenly stopped working between sessions. I can manage to get a very low-level signal within a very narrow range at around 2, but is totally dead otherwise, besides still powering the unit on and off. Prior to this, I had been experimenting with feeding the headphone ...

I'm trying to tackle the terrible Monotribe click - before seeing this post, I watched a video someone posted that suggested connecting a switch with both 2.2uF and 10 uF caps between the base of Q24 and ground. I tried a 4.7uF cap there and 90% of the click went away. The above solution using a 4 ...

Ha - I think changing the course of history for an esoteric MIDI issue would be the best use of that time machine. That's bad news, but thanks for the good info. Looks like the cheapest route might be the Merger by MIDISolutions (~$70). It will handle note and clock data. There's gotta be a MIDI ...

Weirdness in MIDI land...

Throwing a hail mary post out there to see is anyone has some tips on getting MIDI working "right" with the microKorg. I am ultimately using the Monotribe as a step sequencer for an old "Moog" MG-1, which is achieved via the MIDItribe conversion and a Doepfer Dark Link (MIDI to CV converter). This ...

Thanks, all! MIDItribe ordered! I wonder how long it'll take to make it's way from Brazil to CA... I'm hoping to mostly use the Monotribe sequencer as a slave to a drum machine, hence my question regarding having it only sync to the clock signal, nothing else. However, since the ribbon is fairly ...

Controlling tempo via external MIDI clock?

I'm at a loss at how to do this. I want to send a MIDI time signal from a sequencer (Roland MC-303) to the Monotribe via MIDI out of the 303. I naively thought that the Doepfer Dark Time would fit the bill, but no dice. I can get it to sort of talk to a MIDI-controller via the 2.1 firmware upgrade ...

Loading sysex patches to a microKORG?

I have some syx patches that I really want to load onto the microKORG but am finding the process to be far more complicated than I expected. I have tried MIDI-OX, SysExLibrarian, Sysxplorer and none of them will load the syx files. I closely followed the the instructions found here: http://www.korg ...
