Yeah, since the connect is only for MIDI stuff, any old computer that has USB ports will do. Pain that it's a problem, though. It can be either some weird hardware I/O issue, or USB driver device allocation in software, or a combination of both. Perhaps the typical MS advice when anything goes wrong ...

Do you have more than 16 MIDI devices listed by the Korg uninstall utility? If so, that's your problem -- Windows (XP to 10, it's never improved!) chokes on more than 16 devices present in the registry (worst software idea ever invented, that registry thing), and unless you remove enough to allow ...

A couple of questions, and sorry if are already discussed / answered After that I use all 100 user memories, can I save a backup on a PC? Is in the planning a PC editor? This little Korg is capturing my attention Thanks a lot I haven't seen any official news about an editor yet, but you can use a ...

It's insanity-making, isn't it? What I finally found out, with help from someone knowledgeable, is two things: 1. First, update to the latest version of the Korg USB-MIDI driver utilities, on the Minilogue support page now. 2. Do the following: a) read the instructions that come with the utility ...

Okay, updated both driver and Minilogue, driver to latest one from Korg supporting Minilogue, Minilogue to 1.04. The Minilogue installs properly as a USB device (using the Korg Utilities that come with the driver) under Windows 10. I can find it under Device Manager. All the info on it there ...

Heh heh yep, am well aware! Part of the joy of analogue! No idea even whether the encoder is "user replaceable" five years from now, I am happy to tinker, post-warranty, if possible (though I bet it's SMT so may just be unreplaceable, in which case, yes, all the more reason for Korg to think about ...

Thanks both! Just trying to help. If Korg would now send me a Kronos Platinum, I wouldn't mind, though! [and a pony!] <g> Anyways yes, rsaintjohn, that's one thing I forgot to mention: being able to do cross mod and ring mod and sync separately or all together is also really cool. All the classic ...

So here's a question: is there any way to name a patch without just using the Program/Value knob? Is the latter a digital encoder knob (with the click points)? I ask because I worry, over time, about wearing it out, constantly spinning it back and forth to choose letters to create a name for a patch ...

Hi! I heard back from Korg Product Support in the US, and apparently they will update the Windows USB-MIDI driver and utilities and add the Minilogue, and put it on the Support Page soon; so, that's great news. As to the Minilogue itself: love it! It strikes out on its own path, sonically, and is ...

I had supposed that the Korg USB-MIDI driver was a pretty universal one (for Korg), so downloaded the one for the Korg Arp Odyssey from here: http://www.korg.com/us/support/download/driver/0/435/1356/ ... but then, looking around, I see that it has to be updated to support new instruments. Hmmm. I ...

Minilog USB MIDI on Windows 10 - latest Korg USB MIDI Driver

Hi, Have gone through every step known to humankind trying to install, configure, recognize, set up the Minilogue to be recognized on my W10 PC as a MIDI I/O source, to no avail. The Korg Setup utility finds and identifies the minilogue; the device shows up in device manager. But it doesn't show up ...

It's all speculation until we're hands-on with it, n'est-ce pas? I'll continue to hold off any prejudice about the synth until I've been so, that's for sure. Only problem is, I'm afraid if I get hands on and really get to hear how it sounds, I will then start to desperately desire an instrument I ...

I think Live Sets are present in the Fantom series, as well? Probably more familiar as a concept to previous Roland instrument owners? That part doesn't scare me; Roland's always layered their S&S architecture in a way that is somewhat unique but, upon further analysis, quite useful and logical ...
